Went back East to the stompin grounds of Pennsylvania.

My Usual tradition is to listen to WDVE radio station between 11-noon. They play "Alice's Restaurant"

But i missed it this year..........

Good full Thanksgiving dinner with immediate family later in the afternoon. Helped clean up and then had my favorite dessert - Apple pie!

Hope you all had a bountiful Thanksgiving!

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with a friend and her family, full of food and games and even a brief hike!

And I'm STILL trying to finish my Christmas decorating ... that's the goal for this weekend.  =)

It takes my mom 3 days to decorate our house!  It's insane.  I'm glad that the only things I have up at my apartment are my tree (which sets itself up!), some lights and a few little things.  I can decorate my apartment in about an hour haha.

Thanksgiving was a nice day for me...after having a wonderful dinner with family and my two best friends, we went to Boulder to visit my aunt.  The weather was nice so we got to ride her horses, Bear and Shiloh.  The evening ended on a scary note when Shiloh bucked off my aunt's boyfriend and almost broke his nose, but he was okay.  Afterward my friends and I raided Michael's for the awesome pre-black Friday deals, got some stuff for wreaths.  Then we adjourned to my basement, watched movies and played Taboo (my fave) and passed out somewhere around 3 in the morning, which was when my parents were leaving to go to Buckley to get a new TV.  Hah!  It was a fun time.

Hey look, a picture of me not in garb...and on a horse...

Awe...I love horses, wish I could have gone ridding!!  :-)  Was absolutely gorgous here that day!!  The dinner turned out great, I mean perfect, you would think I was a chef or something!!  LOL  I started decorating the house for xmas the weekend after Halloween, I just finished yesterday.  I think you all might go into shock if you saw my home....it looks like Christmas threw up in my house!!   ;)

And.....I am on the hunt for more to add to it!!   ;D

Zoe- ever put a bridal on a hamster?

I remember having gone to your aunt's one year to visit Bear and Shiloh. We had fun and suffered no bucking.

Carpathian did you make it to the wolf sanctuary? I didn't see anyone that looks like your pic i was there and had such a wonderful time. I love that place maybe i should volunteer this summer and help them. If any go the full moon tours are wonderful but think the one this weekend is the last for the season not sure also the VIP tour is worth the money if you love wolfs.

Well guess i need to stop being a spokesperson for them hehehe.

"It takes my mom 3 days to decorate our house!"

Before I retired, my seasonal office decoration consisted of an 8" high "tree" upon which I had hung a single round of 5.56 ammunition.  When that rare client brave enough to ask what this decoration signified, I would adopt a look of astonishment and accuse him of taking me in jest, for surely he recognized the reference!  When he continued to proclaim ignorance, I would chide:  Surely my good man, you recognize a cartridge in a bare tree!

I guess you had to be there.

No I was not able to, between the cooking and everyone coming over early, I didn't have enough time to drive out there have a blast watching the wolves and drive back.  A weeee bit of a commute.  HOWEVER...I will definately be getting over there on a more regular basis and will be there next year for the turkey toss, will plan that more in the morning.  Do they do it through out the day or is it only at a set time?

I have to share that with my parents.  I really just laughed quite hard.
