Okay, I'm someone who doesn't have the slightest clue about marketing but I thought this was a cute idea (though a little late in the game perhaps).

My kid is in the 6th grade and (though I've never seen it) I assume they have a school paper for the students.  (I actually was a reporter for one in the 8th grade.)

Wouldn't it be cool to get kids out to SWFF to report on it Saturday (or later)?  It is educational, right?  An article in a school paper could reach hundreds of parents.  I'm just thinking aloud.  (And I won't give up my day job yet.)

The choir at her school goes out to TRF each year.  This just popped into my head.

IMHO, I consider it educational.  It teaches about history, real and live, and not just pretty pictures in a book or on the Internet.  Plus, if the kids like it, they will bring friends and parents in the future.

I passed your idea along to Tate Green, the manager of Once Upon a Time, Sherwood's Kid's area
thanks!

I've been out there a couple of weekends helping Tate and the others.

I wish I had thought of that in time before media day.  I bet the schools would have been all over it because it allows their little reporters to treated like members of the media.  And what a way to get the word out to parents.

Either way I'm going to contact some of the schools in the area and just make them aware of it.  Even if I can just the flyers somewhere where parents can see them, it would be something.

I assume that if a school did want to have some deeper involvement that they could contact SWFF through the website but if anyone has any other advice or contact info, let me know.

I suppose ditto for Boy Scouts / Girl Scouts, etc.
