dear friends,

we have been on a wonderful journey to get to this place and time.  it's crazy. it's a madhouse right now.  and not everything will be complete.  but, when the gates fly open this saturday, we will all celebrate the trip we have been on thus far...knowing we are on a very long and grand excursion and it's really just begun.

we dreamed together.

it's rare people dream much anymore.  it's more rare when individuals set forth to manifest their dreams into more than just ethereal energy.  and it's almost unheard of when an entire tribe of people assemble from all over to see their collective vision become a reality.

sherwood is just such a miracle.

i thank each of you for shining your light, adding your artistry, dabbing your paint brush into your oils and pastels to paint upon this wonderful fabric.

we will celebrate in fine fashion this weekend.

we will eat, drink and be merry amidst the protection of our fair robin of loxley and his men.

we will show many who have not seen the groundwork of the building of this faire what we have been about these last months.

and they will be amazed--even amidst the imperfections and shortcoming.

it's a masterpiece that is becoming.  it is not finished.  no more than our community is complete.

we have gypsies and minstrels and nobles and artists and artisans who will still join us in sherwood in years to come.

our grand village will thrive because it is a village built on the passion of fellowship and art and music.

when fellow travels enter our woods, they will feel the magic we have built here.

thank you!

now, flood the internet with word of the faire.  invite everyone you know. ask friends and family to do the same.

love and blessings,

rengypsy
it's all about the journey and the people we choose to make the journey with

It is amazing to look at what Sherwood is now and think of the first gathering only last year.
It is like an enchanted dream come true!
I am so excited and feel so happy to be a small part of this grand venture!
Hugs to all!
The opening will be wonderous!

We havent been on the grounds for a week and I am excited to see all the changes that have happened since then, Just curious is the trip to jer. pub going to be finished? I know that there are a million things on your plate but was just curious.

While I have you, We spread some cedar bark mulch in between our booth and our neigbors and it really helped the look of it since it was sand and we could not get any rye to grow there, Is there any problem if we decide to spread some out in front our our booth to keep the damp sand down or would you prefer we do not do that.

I was just out there to get my pass! Amazing! I am nearly bursting with anticipation and excitement!
I could almost hear the Eric Wolfgang Korngold music to the 1939 Adventures of Robin Hood playing in my mind as I walked through the wood!
Come on Saturday!!!!
