I thought to start a thread about the wonderful wares at Sherwood Forest that have been purchased.

I LOVE the lip "baume" I got from Iris Adornment and Apothecary.  OMG this is the best lip balm I have ever used.  It's light, isn't greasy, makes my lips so soft and smells fantastic!

Lady Mac's walking sticks- My son got one of the hickory walking sticks and he loves it.  They are all so beautiful (my favorite was the carved Kudu, gorgeous) and functional at the same time.  And you cannot beat the prices they have!

Como's Italian food, Some of the best food ever!  I love the aranchini (ok I have no idea how that is spelled!)  But it is meat or spinach with cheese stuffed in rice and fried and covered with the best marinara sauce ever!

It's a RISOTTO BALLL!!! FABULOUS!! LOUIS IS MY HERO!!!

I love my "Love Potion" from my friend Angel at the Apothecary on the hill.  She also makes great Wormwood potion too and lip balm and her soaps last for like 10 months!!

I second the Italian food, their pesto pasta is fab!

My twin bought a hooka from Circa Paleo shop and we tried it this past weekend.  We also bought some tobacco and little coals there.  It was soooo great!!!  All our friends loved it too, said it was the best hooka they'd ever tried!

We bought some wings for my nieces from the wing shop on the hill, not sure the name?  They are sooo very cute and seem to be fairly durable, especially for the super cheap price!  They loved them too!

Okay, was waiting for closing to comment on the food vendors, but guess this is a good time to jump in.

There is a food booth up-hill by the children's area that sells fish and chips, Shepard's pie, meat pies, nuts, and pastries. Portions are worth the prices. Shepard's pie has more meat than mashed potatoes usually found in this product. Meat pie has a very light flaky crust.

There is a food booth by the Greenwood stage that sells bread-bowls with soup or chili, baked potato's, salads, and Frito pie. I recommend the Frito pie, with cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos.

There is the fudge booth by the Vineyard Stage/Falconers Stage. Everything is good for a sugar rush, but 3rd weekend they had a fudge in a cupcake form filled with cherries. It was like eating half a box of chocolate covered cherries.

For the Italian restaraunt, the Italian sausage with bell peppers and onions was great. Got to try more of their menu. Lasagna opening weekend was a bit too "aldente".

Only two more weekends to try the mass of menus left untested.

Don't forget the Ogre Toes! sausage stuffed with bacon and then wrapped in bacon.  The best impending heart attack I have ever tasted.  Its a great little place close to where the belly dancers are. Sorry I do not remember the name of the place.  The rum seems to taint my memory at times.

The Dragon's Toes are great as well.  I do wish, however, they had troll toes, because those are a delicacy.

The Dragon Toes and Ogre Toes are at a tiny little place over by the Merlin stage way to the left of the entrance.  They have good coffee too actually.

I should also mention the candy shop.  I usually stop there at least once a weekend, it's fun to have a bit of candy in your purse to munch on during the day and they have tons I love!

I forgot about the fudge place.  The best is the Coconut Cheesecake fdge, YUM!  And their candy apples are really good too.  Very crisp fresh apples were used.

Someone got some Scotch Eggs from the place that has the Dragon Toes and they look really good.

And I can't help but mention the Tub of Fun, Our booth is right next to it and Ds and I rode them and had soooo much fun.  Those suckers are so much faster than you think!  And Shorty is such a character.

My son loves the wax hand he made too.

I haven't been able to see a bunch of the shows sadly, but my son also loves to watch the bird show.  It has been the only one he goes to over and over.

The Fish 'n Chips at this booth are really great, too.  Big portions and the fries are wonderful.

Back to the topic of wares, the Whedon Wares shop (over by the fudge shop, next door to the massage) has excellent teas.  If you are a Firefly fan, they have the Jayne hat (and all of the teas are named for firefly characters).  My wife bought me a Jayne hat opening weekend.  Last Saturday was perfect weather for it.  And to top it all off, its a completely Not For Profit store.  All proceeds go to charity.  We Love This Store!

Sherrie, at Wondrous Works in Wood has some really beautiful mugs, cups, goblets, drums, and other wooden objects in her booth.  She's near the RenShirts booth, and they're both not too far from the Birds of Prey show.

I can not give enough praise to the Wondrous Works in Wood shop.  They are top notch.

Are there any shoppes that sell boots at Sherwoood Forest Faire? I did not see on Renboots web site that they will be at Sherwood.  Medieval Moccassins has a shoppe, but it doesn't look like they carry anything that looks a bit piraty.  Tessa has lost her boots and would like to see what is available.  Any recommendations?

The only one I know of is the shop near the main gate, right next to the Dragon fountain.  They have some boots, but are not really a boot maker.

On a side note, I think I saw you at this very shop today.  Hope you had a great time at the faire.

Yes ... Tessa and I stopped by on Saturday.  She saw a style she liked, but they didn't have her size.  We'll try again at the RenDezvous at Scarby.  Sherwood is a fantastic faire and I'll try to post some pics soon.
