We want to be there on this weekend so badly that we are going in spite of a conflict. We are going to attempt "time travel". We have planned on going to this weekend for months. My daughter, out of pure sweetness, bought us tickets to the Darius Rucker concert at Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK for Saturday night the 24th because she knows how much my wife likes him as an entertainer. So, we can't turn down her offer. We are coming to Wax. on Friday and staying at Faire until about 3 or so on Saturday, then hopping in the time machine and driving to God's Country across the Red River (my home state) and then zipping back to our motel so that we can be there on Sunday as well. Just want to meet as many of you guys as we can....so, like I said, time travel...

hi everyone!

I've been hiding for a while and thought i'd poke my little head out and see what's happening.

This is probably a stupid question but...are all hotels pretty much full for Rendezvous weekend? I know it's last minute...stupid me..but oh well..thought i'd at least ask. Didn't know if anyone knew of places that still had availability...

Also...are there any Houston-area Rennies leaving later in the day on that Friday?

(I'm working on formulating a plan to get my bum up there and trying to figure out where i'll stay and if I need to drive the red demon up there, or if I might spare consuming tanks upon tanks of gas to appease said beast, and just carpool with some of me old TRF buddies )

Anyhoo...to be on topic: Put juju down as a maybe...depending on if I find a place to crash and stuff..

I just checked Hotels.com and the Knights Inn and America Best Value Inns in Waxahachie are still showing openings.
Do a search on Waxahachie and then do a sort by distance.

Also you check Red Oak area hotels as they are just 10 miles north of Scarby on I-35E.

Yes a lot of the Houston rennies are heading north for Rendezvous!  Call the Super 8 in Waxahachie.  Blue had reserved a block of rooms under McLot at a discounted rate.  There may be some rooms available still.

Get your tushy up to Rendezvous girlie!
