I see some gas stations doing this, so, assuming the bottles are kept in a locked cage for exchanging, not that much more needs to be done.  However, as always, it doesn't hurt to confirm this.

As for inventories of a store, this is dicey, because very few stores would run weekend-only (or maybe a tad on Friday/Monday) for 7 weeks.  I'd have to defer to a marketing professional on this, if it is even worth doing at all.

I don't know what it would take to get them to do it, but I wonder if in view of the extra traffic, the county would improve the access roads. (old 20 and Old Potato Rd) I know some of us with little, low riding cars would like that!

It is a very scary turn into the faire from 290. No idea what to do?

Don't know what it would take for Bastrop County to go beyond road maintenance, to actual road improvements for the hard-pack gravel roads.  ;)

Take Care,

They may not be able to do much about 290, but as far as Old Potato and old 20, the County Commisioners Court oversees the maintenance and improvement of county roads. A request to them from the faire and other property owners on those roads might do some good.

I know that TRF has traffic control going through Magnolia and on 1774 up to the faire entrance.  Is this an expense that is covered by the faire?  I believe it is.  Perhaps that could be something budgeted for the coming years.

we paid a lot for traffic control off 290...and the results were...
it's all about the journey and the people we choose to make the journey with

My daughter asked me to pass along her suggestions:

1.   Bakery goods could stand improvement (the breakfast type, not the savory pies).  What she saw appeared to be the kind that could be purchased at a gas station.  Then, again, she's used to TRF and Scarby for breakfast.

2.   Hard paths for ADA patrons, but that appears to be in the works.

3.   More Craft demonstrations – also this seems to be priority for faire mgmt.

4.   Fireworks – maybe substitute fire performers and use just the aerial displays.  I didn't see the area, but she and others with her thought there could be problems with wind shift or when we have burn bans.

5.   Lighting for way out – again, others have posted about this.

6.   Security - Near dusk as crowds thinned out she was accosted by a mean drunk.  Luckily his not-so-mean drunk companions pulled him away after she rebuffed his advances (she was waiting for husband).  She and husband both had seen Officers in the faire, always as a group, not patrolling in outer areas.  This was first Sat and Sun of faire, so it might have changed.    They did eventually see the officers as they left faire and told them of problem, but by then the offenders had left the area.

More tables for dinning please
The ramps into some of the booths were way too steep
Same with the paths, some had problems walking or getting their mobility aid transports around.
More Fairies and Fantasy Creatures
While most had wonderful make-up I would love to hold a class ( or get someone you know to ) on application of appliances and make-up
I would love to talk to you about a coloring book of your characters
Can we talk about a Halloween Event?

If anyone has been to Bristol, they can probably respond positively to this idea.
The faire has what they call a "Day of Wrong," basically outlandish outifts that
still fall in the realm of the Renaissance time. The funniest that first comes to mind
is a lady in waiting, her entire outfit is made from Green Bay Packer material and a
cheesehead hat. There are vikings in shoulderpads, leprechauns in red, Ogres in
tuxedoes, a great day for trekkies and star wars fans, uh TRF, the stormtrooper guy?
It's really hilarious what costumes get put together, maybe it's an idea for a future
day of fun.  ;D    Lady Mac
