Yes there is a KOA campground less than 5 minutes north of the faire right off I-25. There are also many hotels now in Castle Rock which is less than 15 minutes north. Colorado Springs is about 15 or so minutes south with hotels as well. Then South Denver is about 30 minutes north with tons of hotels

It's ok, Anna... I'm excited, also!  :D  I haven't been home since 2006, and it was 5 years before that when we moved away, so even my daughter is bouncing up and down over this one!!!  She was born there, and she's been trying to get me to move us back since we visited last time!  Who knows... maybe by next year that will be an option. ;)

The Bayou Scoundrels are making the trip this year and will be scoping things out for a possible return next year.
3 weeks,the RV and motorcycles to explore and enjoy the sights.
We are planning on staying at the Jellystone park as of now.
So please look for us,the flat landers having trouble walking on non level ground.
The biggest hills here(mountains) are the levee's.

Scotsman, I would suggest finding an accomplice and sending all the materials needed to them through UPS. No worries on flight rules and it will all be there waiting for you.

I am thinking for tailgate, a gaggle of midget police, lady Godiva scantly clad on horseback, a concoction of Single Malt Scotch & lighter fluid & pickle juice & embalming fluid, the corpse of Edger Allen Poe (or other famous person ... maybe Bruce Lee), a contestant from Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the entire cast of Ghostbusters, and beer.


Just have some minor details to work out, but should have it all put together by the end of lunch.

Also have a call back pending with Gary Coleman ... if he falls through I may go to  my fall back of Michael Jackson.
