*Renee starts wondering and then gets happier thinking, maybe, just maybe, does a higher altitude mean you weigh less?  Wouldn't THAT be nice?*

I'm not sure, Renee.  In Larkspurshire, you will definitely be further from the earth's center of gravity, and therefore should weigh a few micrograms less.  On the other hand, the air is thinner and therefore would provide less boyancy, thereby making you a bit heavier.  Is there a physicist in the house?

But would one become more buoyant in the thin air, if one had mexican for dinner?

Makes sense to me.
I have often wondered, if I went into space... Would I be overweightless?

*rum causes very odd thoughts on occasion*

A golf ball hit at altitude will carry further, thus it defies gravity......*Golfers bring your game*

If anyone needs a push down the mountain at any time, just stop at my booth and I'll give you a good roll - from there, you'll end up right at the gates.  So line up at the end of the day and I'll help you get out....

We would love to come dependent upon the date... what weekends/months does Colorado run?  When will the date be selected?

As you can see I am a bit excited about this:)!

Lupa,
CoRF runs 8 weekends (no three day weekend during the 4th of July), and is from mid June thru  last weekend of July.

We are not certain how dates will be picked. (voted or chosen for us)
This was discussed in our first Rendezvous 2011 organization meeting this past Sunday.

I would suggest the best weekend to be one of the two weekends after 4th of July, (Which lands on a Monday) 2011. Those dates would be either 16 - 17 or 23 - 24.

My reasoning is that in June kids are still in School, and then graduation parties are popular in  that month also.

I'm sure everyone will have a take on their best times to attend, as has always been the case in past Rendezvous date choosing.

Francisco Paula

My vote be wine tasting weekend. Sorry this Portuguess pirate likes a good port over rum. Plus the visiting people can taste a few of the local wines that way.

Oh and if people are making a weeks vaca for it may i recomend Redstone Meadery in boulder, its a free tour and tasting.

Capt Spleen

While everyone will also have a favorite themed type weekend, we'll not know the themed weekend schedule until sometime next year. Too late for planning Rendezvous 2011.

Sir Garath. Being from here, you can attend anytime you want. But those traveling from afar, may have their needs dictated by the date rather than by the theme.

The planning committee asks that everyone be patient, as we want to have our Faire year 2010 (and while enjoying it, we can case the grounds for meeting areas, photo ops, and other activities).
THen we will have all of the organizers weigh in, regarding all the activities that we are planning to make this as successful  a Rendezvous for all involved.

We were planning on having this completed by the end of October 2010 ( after the kids are back in school, Labor Day festivities are over, and a date has been set). Mind you, we will be working on this diligently AFTER CoRF 2010, starting in August., and yet, planning all along while at faire this year too.

This logic is very sound. The date is pivotal for those coming from afar. I am sure the themes are great but as I have experienced in these invasions - we create our own themes!
