Wow, that looks terrific! What shape was the sunhat before? I never thought of using something like that before...

LadyShadow

Wow that turned out great.  You have just given me a whole new idea...  I might have to try this one.

Great hat!!! Plus, with it being a sun hat, it will be cooler than a felted hat!!! I think you've started something here... (want want want for my pirate garb that I only wear once or twice a year!)

Okay...here are some photo's of the Dirt Fairy's new garb!  :)  The photo's were taken at Scarborough Closing weekend...and is the final costume in the "Twig" series!  lol ;)

A special thanks to LadyStitch for her advice and encouragement on Rendezvous weekend out by the Super 8 pool!  Even though you thought I didn't soak any of the advice in!  Her new outfit is fully lined...I took my time...and this is one she can wear more than once...because believe it or not...it is really sturdy!  It stood up to the Dirt Fairy's abuse and is still wearable!  lol ;)  Thanks again Sweetie!  ~ Jules

Thanks Gem!  First she had a pink costume...and saw Twig in green!  SO...of course she had to have a green costume to be more like Twig!  So...when she showed up in her green costume...guess what?!  Twig was wearing Orange!  lol ;)  So my spoiled little Dirt Fairy HAD to have an Orange one!  ;)

its just a regular sunhat, with the circular brim. i pinned up the sides and back, sewn them for extra support, then went to work from there!
im anxious to make more-but hubby put me on a garb spending budget

Lady Seasan- that is awesome!  I would never have thought to use a straw hit.  Love it!

Jules- I wish I were that "spoiled"!  All of her costumes are so cute!
