Oh, now that's beautiful!!!  I LOVE those colors!  Now I wish I had dug some of the variegated yarn out, and not just used the fire-engine red!  Also makes me wish I had used the smaller loom, as well!  ::)  lol  Ok, ok, I'll go run some drawstrings through mine right now and get a pic up here...  :D

Thanks for posting pictures. I see better now how it works. :)

Ok, I'm done, finally. Funny how little things keep getting in the way when we're trying to frinish the things we enjoy, eh?

Finished pouch, with braided double drawstring for hanging off a belt, and Griffin decoration.  Sorry for the glare...

Both are very well done!!!! If I can find my camera  :(, I will post mine.

I used the Yellow loom.  It's fairly large.

I also used the blue loom for the one to hang from my belt.

Here's a peek at my ribbon flower I made for my red carpet dress. I ran out of the black silk, and right now, with the flooding in Ames, there is no way to get more, so I used some black grosgrain ribbon I had in my stash. I pinned a pretty brooch to the center of the flower, and will be sewing the flower to the dress and sash.

(I still need the 3/4-sleeves, hem and zipper.)

Oh, how lovely!  Very Audrey Hepburn meets Jackie Kennedy!!!  I would love a close-up of the ribbon flower, if you have one...

Now I really, really want the flower loom!!!  :D

Robin, can't wait to see the bag you made...  I'm thinking I might make one with the blue loom, and just not pull the bottom quite so tight.  I have lots of other projects I'm supposed to be working on right now, though...  :-\  ::)

That looks wonderful.  I really need to go buy me one now.

Finally have a close-up pic uploaded. Please forgive the competing shades of black. I was in a hurry to finish the dress, and didn't have time to be choosy. Plus, it was only going to be seen in dim lighting anyway, LOL!

Oh, I love it!  I think the tone-on-tone gives it more depth, anyway...  Now I definitely have to get the flower loom!  I can see using it to make custom bows for gift packages, as well...

Very lovely work, Lady R!

I just finished a hat yesterday that is closer to a snood, actually.  I used the largest round loom because I don't like hats that smash my hair, with the sueded yarn I mentioned previously, and it came out very much like a snood!  I used the Spice color, and now I'm working on a flat scarf in the complimentary Jade Green color.  I'm not big on matching sets... :D

I bought the assorted set today at Joanns with my 50% off coupon for $10. I have already started the first 5 rows on the totebag it shows on the package, and I finished a ribbon flower. I'm excited to try new things!

Huzzah!!!  Another convert!  You'll be "hooked", just like the rest of us...  ;)

I'm just about to finish the scarf I started night before last, using 3 skeins of 3oz bulky Lion Suede yarn, 122 yds per skein.  It's really long, but I used the 32 peg long loom, using all pegs, double thickness, and I'm making it long enough to wear as a wrap if I want.  It's so thick I could fold it up and use it as a pillow if I needed to... and so soft I just might!  ;)  My daughter asked me today if I would make her one of the snoods, and when I asked her if she wanted it to wear to Faire, she said sure, but she also wanted to wear it to school!

I have a question...  I've never used the round loom, but I am going to go pick one up today...well, the kit that has the 4 (I believe) different sizes.  For a mans head, which loom do you use to make a hat and also about how many balls of yarn do you use?

I've already got it down when I want to make a scarf, I use two of the softer decorative yarns and then get one of the big bundles of the basic yarn...but now that I want to do hats, I have no idea how many things of yarn to expect (though I would assume after one or two times of making one, I'll know)

It depends on the hat you want to make, and the yarn you use.  I like to use one of the much thicker yarns, such as a boucle, for my hats, just because it's warmer in the end, and I can usually get a couple of hats from a skein.  I use the green, or the second largest loom, for a regular hat, since the red is the size for a smallish child.
