Okay, so this really has nothing to do with faire, or garb, or anything like that.

When I was growing up, my grandmother made a "life-size" doll for me. I was four, and the doll was the same size as me. I don't know where she got the pattern, but I do know that she no longer has it.
That doll was my best-friend, and my favorite toy from childhood. Alas, when I turned 12, my family moved across town, and my *sniffles* dolly was lost. So, I don't even have her for a reference. My cousin still has hers, but she lives in Utah. I will try to get pictures for a reference.

In the mean time, I was hoping/wondering if anyone here could help me. Have any of you seen, or heard of a pattern for a 4 foot tall doll, with yarn hair?

How about this for an original pattern: http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/girldoll/

And this to make it bigger: http://kids.nunodoll.com/lifesize/girl08.html

I have an older book from Sunset called How to Make Soft Toys & Dolls, and this is one of the projects. I never made it, but IIRC, you start by tracing around a child on a huge piece of paper, and make the pattern from that.

So here is a picture of the doll my cousin has.
Anyone seen a doll, or pattern for something similar? Or, any suggestions on how to duplicate the pattern?
