Vacation for me is labor day weekend and week. I can't wait, three days in a row of renfest and who knows what else for the rest of the week.

Mairte

Week after week I have been looking forward to MNRF!

Don_Juan_deCordoba

MNRF is one faire that I have not seen yet, among many.

Many faires to see, so little time.

(and money!)
I came, I saw, I skipped to my lou.

Mairte

Around faire time I wish I HAD more money!

Money is what we work for; Faire is what we live for!

For without faire, how would we be able to play dress-up for grown-ups, without feeling silly.

DonaCatalina

Silly people have more fun than people who are too serious about everything.

Everything seems so serious this day, even the most simplest of jokes isn't funny to most people. It has to be something super clever before someone gets it. I like the old-school humor, up to about the early nineties, then it just dropped off, and now it's having a slow resurgence in society.

Lady Kett

Society should really lighten up a bit.

Poldugarian Warrior

Bit, too late for that I think. The powers that be have ruined all our fun.

DonaCatalina

Fun is where you find it. Myself, I find it in Fredericksburg and the thirty-seven wineries that are near the town.

Town wineries are great but I prefer breweries and there's two not far from my home!

Home of some of the best craft breweries is here in Michigan, but I drink so many different beers from the states and the world. That I can't say they are the only best. Evry beer is unique and is good in its own way, sort of like people.
