good job on the irish dress and the chemise.  Love the comfort and ease of Irish dresses.  Kudos on the cupcake (love that term) dress too.  I made a dress for a pageant (Miss South Carolina) once that was layers and layers of silk charmeuse ruffles on a full skirt with a train....I feel your pain!!!

Anna Iram

Cute dress! I bet it's fun to wear with all those fluffy, russtley( this may not be a word...) layers. :)

Love it Love it Love it, Capn'!   You will look amazing!

LOVE the irish dress. I think I love more the proud look on Mrs. Dustin's face. :)

For pirate faire, I wore the 1880 corset I finished a few months ago over a black skirt I had made a few years back; I tried it on with a white chemise and HATED it, so the night before pirate faire, I made a new black chemise. I love how it turned out. I also added trim to a felt blank hat the morning of. Why is it we all end up sewing right up until the time we leave for faire?? The hat needs some work, I might re-pin the sides, I'm not crazy about the shape.

Lady Rebecca

Beautiful job! I love that corset! Can we see more pictures of it?

Are you kidding me? I was working on a friend's noble garb with her sewing it IN THE CAR after pulling an all nighter while another friend was driving us to faire. Luckily it was a 2 hour trip.

I have been known to hand sew minor things on the drive to faire  :-[

I always carry a tiny sewing kit, even INTO Faire with me... y'know, just in case I see something I missed...  ::)  I can frequently be found standing around in the parking lot finishing up that "one last thing" so we can make it through the gate.  I'd probably sew all the way there also, but I'm the driver...  :D

I always make sure its done ahead of time...which means the night before...I can't get to sleep if something needs to be finished...
