The blacksmith crew of Hillbilly Highlander Forge has been working hard on the booth for the last 4 weekends. The electrical lines have all been replaced, the back room interior has been remodeled, the back room now has a new roof that doesn't leek (needed that for a while now), the front counter has been rebuilt and varnished, shelves have now been installed under the front counter, the forge has been reworked with new fire mortar, the forge hood has been rebuilt with new plate steel on the front panel and is now repainted and the demonstration audience bleachers have now been water sealed
This week the bellows for the forge are getting rebuilt (too many air leaks) and the sign is being sealed and repainted around the edges where water was getting in.
Along with the remodeling of our booth, we also have 2 new websites!
HHF http://hillbillyhighlanderforge.webs.com/ and it's branch BTBS http://bigthicketforge.webs.com/
All this work will really make this year easier on us, though you can't really see a difference from a far. So come on by and say Hi! We'd love to show off our work.

Been doing your cardio so you don't get out hawked by the cute little beer girl across the way?

Blue66669

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That beer girl is amazing, isn't she?

Sounds like things will be pretty nice there at the Forge this year.

But, "Singed" and "blue" do raise a valid point - can you compete with a cute Beer Girl?   :D

Does anyone have pictures of her?

This is a shot of a Minnesota Ren Fest Beer Girl I took earlier this month (I don't drink beer, but for some reason I'm thirsty...  :o  ;) ):

I can't compete with that (which is why I'm so loud); however, we do have some girls that work the counter that can turn an eye or two...

You must have very good powers of concentration, to work at a Forge (and not get maimed) with distractions like that in the shop!   :o  ;D

This is one of the reasons why I built the "TRF 2010 season HHF Scarboard" and put in on our website. http://bigthicketforge.webs.com/trfscarboard.htm Not only will we see who gets hurt the most, but we'll get the explanation as to why... I can almost guarantee that "bellydancer walked by" will be in there more than once ;)

...and yes, I already have 2 marks...

Need to add a hit for me, I still have a purple thumbnail from when we did the wiring.

Will do. I'm going to Mark's today to rebuild the Bellows and then to TRF on Thurs. Take a pic of your thumb and send it to me. (too bad it wasn't a Bellydancer :))
