My nephew and wife are Soju lovers... You can utube their dog named Soju.   Where can you find the real Korean kind?  I understand what we find here is not the same.

That's a good question. My favorite Korean restaurant in Dallas serves a brand that I absolutely love, and I think they sell it in one of the stores in the Koreatown.  I would think you could order stuff on the internet as well.

Last year it was Fairy Juice with a kick.

See, the original Fairy Juice I made earlier in the year before MDRF got dubbed that because "it tastes like pressed fairies!" or so I was told. Very sweet.

Then I tried making it with Van Gogh espresso flavored vodka (instead of plain vodka) and that's where the "kick" came from. It was fun seeing people guess what it tasted like. I even got waffles 'n syrup, once. :) Not sure how that came about, LOL.

Right now I've got waiting a cinnamon flavored fairy juice. Haven't tasted it yet, but if it works, I'm sure I'll have some at MDRF.

Jack Daw at Work

I still have some Macallan 12 left in my sporran flask from the San Antonio Highland Games.  I may empty its contents this weekend!

I usually smuggle in a 1 Liter Mt Dew bottle, filled with 1 1/3 bottles of Oliver Mead.  Mug filled with discretion, of course.

You want to know the honest truth? Water. I keep mine full of water. I hate heatstroke. I would love to make it a flask full of Highland Park 15 year, but let me restate- I HATE HEATSTROKE!! Although on Talk Like A Pirate Day, I did carry a flask full of grog. That sucked. It got all warm. Warm rum is terrible. So there you go! Water, single malt scotch, or rum are my potions of choice.

Rowan MacD

 Water.
Most things don't taste very good warm, and like Nighthawk said; heatstroke sucks.

for more years then I can count I carried a bota bag full of rum and kaluha (sp) The Gods have decreed that I can no longer enjoy the fire of any alcohol as out of the blue I have become allergic to it, no kidding, swollen face, neck, bright red and can't breathe and killer headaches after the smallest amount. I gave up trying :(  The Doctor confirmed...can't even take meds with it anymore, no more drug induced sleep for me when I get a cold...
I miss the taste of some of my favorites....sigh* it SUCKS!
