Been camping out there for five years now and have yet to see a snake - As someone posted earlier, there will be way too much noise and commotion for any snake to want to be around.  Plus, it will be too cold at night.

I would save me the gasoline when i would normally flambie them... i believe in spreading the love around.  For extra sh*ts and giggles, i could smack the bag around a bunch... you know, making them fiesty.

Now boys (finger shaking happening here)... be nice to Muffin!  It's taken a bit of convincing just to get her to agree to come down there and camp this year, so teasing her about snakes is NOT going to endear you to her... and once you get a good look at her I'm pretty sure you're going to WANT her to like you!  

They're not really overgrown children, Muffin, they're just... well, ok, so maybe they are, but they're mostly harmless.

Blushing, they weren't too bad last year, but we did get two or three bites, and I'm usually the main dish if they're out in numbers.  Just bring some OFF wipes and you should be fine, I would think, particularly if this cooler weather holds. 


Muffin, then you shouldn't have too much trouble with this bunch!  They'll be putty in your hands once you actually get there, and probably trip all over themselves to make sure you want to come back and do it all over again next year!  They really are pretty great guys, once you get past the rough edges (and the frogs in their pockets)...

I've seen pics of Muffin and yes, she is a looker.    I wouldn't dump snakes on her... i'll save that for my SPECIAL friends.
