Here's one from a few weeks ago, when my parents were visiting me here in Houston.  On Saturday morning, 16-Oct-10, we went and toured the Saint Arnold Brewing Company, and then drove over to Katz's Deli & Bar on Westheimer for lunch.

My Lunch - Katz's Pride #1 (Downtown size) (Corned Beef, Russian Dressing, and Coleslaw on Rye Bread with Bagel Chips and Kosher Pickles)

Looks awesome/delicious. I try and get sandwiches now for meals, since they always usually contain all the major food groups so they have to be good for you.

At the Texas Renaissance Festival last weekend --- you run into some of the most interesting people...

Two Barbarians (cast members), and a Celtic Storm Trooper:

Oh, what beautiful wings... on a beautiful little Faerie!  He looks so very enchanted, and I'm so glad he had such a wonderful encounter with one of his Fae relations!  How FUN!!!

We went to get the family Christmas tree and these beautiful boys were pulling the happy kids along on a sleigh ride after picking out their own tree.

It's interesting that when I went back in time last Saturday to a Victorian Christmas at Dickens on The Strand in Galveston, I met Mouse's Great-Great-Great-Grandfather...  ;)   ;D

It's where I get my dashing good looks from! Great picture Baldock....The garb all credit to my lovely fiancee, Mistress Mouse, Jen. Notice how we match...I tell one and all it's because we are madly in love and this was a way to show we are of one house, unity. She says "I had some stuff left over from when I made my dress..If I hadn't you would of gotten black, so quite telling people that story." Forever the hopeless romantic she is *swoon*
Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie

"MOUSE,n. "Animalistic man-child which strews it's path with fainting woman"....less so these days :)

One fun thing that happened at Dickens on The Strand - 2010, was the marriage ceremony of Jennifer Elyse Bridgeford Ellis and Steven Nuernberg, with Ben Hamby officiating, on the steps of the "Marble Arch Stage" at around 2:30 PM. The wedding wasn't on the "official" DoTS schedule, but it took place nonetheless...  ;)
