I'm helping a friend of mine with some research.  She is looking for good images of 14-early 15th century ladies garb.   She lives in New Zealand and wants to come to Scarby or TRF for 2012.  As she is a major garb nut she wants to make really nice garb to wear.
Hopefully I can drag her onto the boards soon.

So any suggestions for her?
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Scarborough Faire is set in the year 1533, the year that Henry VIII secretly married Anne Boleyn.

In general illuminations from manuscripts and prayer books + various tapestries seems to be the best source for the 14th and 15th century. Like these:

14th-15th century is the high medieval period. If you can find it, take a look at the book "The Medieval Tailor's Assistant."  It's my go-to book for earlier periods.
