Saw this as I was browsing a French needlework designer's site:

The designer is A Mon Ami Pierre, and this chart is "Le Col Medicis." I don't speak French, but I'm guessing that's "Medici Collar."

I guess that's one option if you don't have the time to hand-stitch an actual partlet!  ;D

Pretty!  I need to figure out how to produce a Blackwork, or blackworking looking partlet. I don't see having the  time to do all that stitching, and I can't find a site that sells blouses, chemises or partlets already decorated.
  *sigh*

ooooooooo......<3

There used to be a site (I could have sworn it was threads of time) that sold blouses with embroidery on the sleeves.  Threads of time does not have them now, if they ever did.

Here's an interesting link...I ran across this a while back.  Fake blackwork pattern drawn onto the fabric.   She placed net over it to make is look like stitching from a distance.

No, they still have them.  :) If you go to the last page of that section, that's where their original embroidered Ren shirts are.

This one's pretty, though.

Do you have any idea what the prices run?  They don't give any clue.

I don't, but IIRC, I first heard about them here, from a forum member. If you started a new thread just about Thistlebees, maybe you'll get some responses from folks who've worked with them.

...Or you could always email the company!

I have used thislebees a few times for the theatre, and an have enjoyed each item.  In fact I have a pair of black worked cuffs that have never been used... hummmmmm...... I think her cuffs were about $30 for the full ones.

Lady Renee Buchanan

Our friend Richard bought an embroidered chemise at Stronghold (in Illinois) in October and paid $40 for it.  It is beautiful.  Collar, cuffs, and sleeves embroidered.  It was on sale from $75.  I can't remember the vendor, so I'll try to remember to ask him.  This same vendor goes to several of the smaller Midwestern faires in the Iowa/Illinois/Wisconsin area.

You might want to renmail to wildthingjew, a member of this forum, as she knows the vendor and has several of the chemises, and each one is well-made and gorgeous.

In case anyone has an embroidery machine and would like to make their own blackwork chemises, you can purchase blackwork CDs that will work with most embroidery machines right here: http://ladymaerwynn.com/  Hope this helps as well.
