Reading "Under the Black Ensign" by L. Ron Hubbard.  It's a reprint of a pulp he did in the '40's(!).

Pure pirate candy!

Finally getting around to reading Super Freakonomics.  Good stuff so far, like the first book!

Mairte

Still on the Outlander series but also reading a book on ghost stories.

Mairte

A call out for another series! Is there anything similiar to Diana Gabaldons "Outlander" series? I got many of the women in my family reading those books!  ;D

amy

I am in the 3rd of the Outlander series.  Voyager.  I love that the herioine is not 20 years old.   I have never charged through books so quickly...  at least since I finished Pillars of the Earth and World Without End.

Lady Rebecca

I've decided to go through and read all of Jane Austen's books, since the only one I've ever read is Pride and Prejudice. So right now I'm on Northanger Abbey, and up next is Mansfield Park.

As dorky as it sounds, I'm actually going over some stories again from Chicken Soup for the Couples' Soul. There are a few in there that really warm my heart that I've read before and that I want to read again.
*Short enough to not reach the pedals, tall enough for the rides at Six Flags!*

I'm splendid. That is all.

Amy, I agree. Those books get their hooks into you and its difficult to put them down. :) I THINK it was Tipsy Gypsy that said HOT SCOT!!! And, oh gods, she was right!!  ;D

Taffy Saltwater

Gave up on Pride and Prejudice.  Still slogging through Vanity Fair.  And am now trying my hand at the Discworld graphic novels.  They're growing on me.
Sveethot!

HO SCOT is not the word for him.   I am so in love with this man!  I have even named a guy in my phone Jamie Frazer so he calls me now and then! (crazy things we do!)

BamaWoodsman

Little behind the times but I just started the Harry Potter series for the first time. Finished book 1 in a couple of days and started book 2 so moving on along.

Mairte

LOL, amy!!!!!!!  ;D  I love it. I am just finishing up Drums Of Autumn then jumping right away into Fiery Cross. This fourth one took me a while because of some other issues where I didnt have as much time to read.

Taffy Saltwater

I loved the movie so much I decided to read the book - Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.
Sveethot!

Meagan

I loved Howl's Moving Castle! The first time I saw the movie I ran out and bought the book and both sequels. I love the layers to the story, both in the book and movie.

When I am not reading my nursing books (which I should be doing instead of wasting time online) I am reading Vampire Hunter D: Dark Nocturne and Marvel 1602. Marvel 1602 is a graphic novel that runs under the premise that many marvel super heroes (x-men, fantastic 4, spider man, Nick Fury, Dr. Strange, Dr. Doom, Captain America, Dare Devil,etc...) popped up about 400 years too early. So it is the Marvel Universe. In 1602. I am quite enjoying it.
