Anyone recognize this costumer's work? Trying to remember where I saw...

This is from several years ago now, but I'm hoping it will ring a bell for somebody!

A few years ago a costumer (not a forum member) made a Jacobean jacket out of handmade lace or cutwork (kind of like a partlet, but a jacket). It was cream or white and was entirely hand-constructed. (I want to say that the background of her dress diary page on it was pink... but that might be stretching things!). I tried Googling "Lace Jacobean Jacket," but without a better memory of what I'm looking for, I'm not having much luck.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Isabella, it might have been. Like I said, I really can't remember enough about it, although that piece doesn't actually look familiar.

Sadly, I have no idea to who you might be referring.. However, if you like Jacobean jackets and the like, I highly recommend peaking at Waisted Efforts.. there is some nifty work on this page! (I do NOT know the owner, I just like to look at the dresses & and jackets when I'm looking for steampunk inspiration).

Hi there,

I do not recognize what you're looking for, but the aforementioned site is mine www.waistedefforts.com and I just finished an early Jacobean Men's outfit.  I just got to my first show of the year (Georgia Renaissance Festival) and have not had time to update it yet, but there will be a bunch more pictures soon. http://waistedefforts.squarespace.com/tims-fancy-pants/

Also if you'll be at the opening weekend of Scarborough this weekend, my customer will be there wearing it.  Don't know if that helps at all. :-)

Thanks Gwen for enjoying my site, feel free to comment or ask questions!

Kelly! I think your work is fantastic :) I can't wait to see more of it.. I kinda throw costumes together, but I'm super jealous of people who can do serious sewing (I'm more of a crafter than a seamstress).
