Does your closet happen to have an opening in the back... that leads to Narnia?  ;)  heheh
Mine leads to Monsters, Inc.  Where do you think I came from? It has been said by many that I'm their worst nightmare... 8)

Narnia is Disney Land compared to where my closet leads.

Let's just say it's guarded by an evil monkey.

Very much so....and we missed ye today, Dad. We did, however, talk about ya.

I just thought, if he can get lost in his closet... then it must at least lead to somewhere interesting, right?  ::)

So, uhhh... getting back on topic...  :P  heheh

Does it cost to park at CoRF?

Tanda

It does not cost to park at CoRF. And there is ample parking. I would, however, suggest getting there before 9:00am to get a prime spot. Especially if you are planning to return to your vehicle during the day. There is a shuttle bus that runs from the outer parking areas to the main entrance, so do not despair. But it can be quite the hike to get that warm cloak or extra layer of sunscreen. Besides, all the cool people park in the first 3 rows.

Side note: There is handicap parking. Make sure your placard is displayed and ask one of the parking attendants.

On the other side note: There is motorcycle parking very close to the front gate.
o/` I'm a little teapot...o/` No, I'm not, that would be silly. ::)

There is a nice grove area (uphill from the entrance - everything seems uphill) that is great for shade, but you need to get there quite early to get a spot.  So if you like to take a break, it is a great spot.  Otherwise, like Tanda said, early you can get right outside the gate, which is great for a quick trip to the car, but no shade.

But do not be fooled. The first parking lot you see is for cast and crew. Go past that one until you see the front gates. Getting there near 9am insures your not on the other sde of Colorado when you park

Yep, easy mistake, we did that our first visit 2 years ago.  Thanks to someone in the loot that let us know - that is when we found the 'grove'.

Yeah, usually there is an attendant at that first lot who will direct you on to the further lot--you have to show an employee ID to get into the first lot.

Actually they waved us through - we were dressed in garb so maybe they thought we were cast  ???

Perhaps the good folks organizing the RenDezvous will be able to secure us a parking "area" where we can do a little pre-cannon tailgating, etc.  That was a marvelously handy feature when I visited FL.
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

Unfortunately the 'grove' area of which I spoke does not accomodate that many vehicles (unlike the 'grove' at MNRF :) )

But this is a good idea

Must have been a new guy then. I've always had to show ID, garb or no garb, haha.
