I stopped by Hancock Fabrics yesterday on my way to my favorite Chinese food restraint. As I walk in I see red sign after red sign standing on top the never ending sea of tables. Come to find out corporate told Hancock Fabrics to mark down their fabric to half price for the weekend. Butterick patterns were on sale for 99 cents as well! I also got offered a job as I made my purchase. I had to share with everyone incase there is a Hancock Fabrics in your area.

I'm going back this afternoon after I clean out my car to make more room.  ;)

I wish there was a Hancock's near me!

Taffy Saltwater

There used to be a couple in the area and they have both closed - so jealous!

Just be warned to watch the money you make. Many times, people who work in Clothing stores, fabric and Book stores end up spending it back. Temptation abounds at places like these. ;)

I used to have a few friends that worked there, they get ridiculous discounts, they also used to give fabric for FREEEEEEE if you displayed what you made for a certain amount of time... not sure if they still do that

Ah, yes, the retail temptations...Summer job at the pool helps me avoid that! (And I won't get in trouble for sneaking off with a book pre-realese day!)

I went to Hancock's today with a very specific purchase in mind (only 2 yards) IF the sale was here in St. Louis too.

I spent $78.00.

Crap.

Yeah - as Pipere said, no Hancocks here in MI anymore.  Poot.

In Ann Arbor, JoAnn's does NOT cut it for me. I miss Hancocks like you would not believe. Plus it was so close to my house... sigh.

FireFaerie

I accidentally happened across this sale yesterday! I bought a bunch of those 99 cent patterns and when I got 'em home, I looked at the original prices... 10-15 dollars! Each!  :o Now THAT is a mark-down. Wow.

What patterns did you get FireFaerie?
