The new gown went out for a test run on Sunday! :)

The sleeves were entirely too hot to wear for most of the day. Many thanks to Amy for helping with them when I did wear them. :)

Beautiful, love the color.

I'll soon be posting more in a few. Have the last two doublets almost done.

Woo hoo! I finished my second and bigger hat, and I'm much happier with the results!

Thank you so much, ladies for all of your help and recommendations and guidance!  I've got to add some feathers and a brooch for decoration, but it's done!

Now to tackle the billion other projects that I have waiting in the wings. . . .

So pretty!

Well done, cofeeguru! Striking color. All you need now is a lovely brooch and some ostrich plumes to finish it off!!  HUZZAH!!

The King's Shirt is finished. This was ordered by the King of the Chippewa Vall;ey Renaissance Festival.

What I did different on this shirt was that I made a continuous flap in the front, where normally I have a seam. The tight rolled hem serge inn place of lace, as well as decorative stitching on the ruff pieces. A different take tht gives off a different look.

Now on to the Bathory Project overskirt.

Just finished this partlet for a client.

Huzzah Jodi!!

I see we have the same taste in Patterns and lace! The same lace I have used on many partlets and ruffs.

Rebecca, can you share the dimensions of your escoffion? I'm working on one right now, but I'm having trouble getting the bag just right (not too small, not too poofy).
Thanks everyone! The escoffion is about 9" diameter, and the band is 19" long (it comes to 18" after the seam allowance) and 1.5" wide.

Rebecca, this is perfect! I just made a mockup using a 9" circle (plus a band to fit my own head), and the size is just right--big enough to cover my hair, but not overly poofy or muffin-cap-like. Thank you!!

I'm glad it worked!

And I realized that while I posted on facebook, my livejournal, and my blog, I neglected to post my finished polonaise pictures here. I did a photoshoot the other day wearing the polonaise, then the 17th c gown, and then the chemise a la reine. More pictures can be found at theladyrebecca.livejournal.com and ladyrebeccafashions.blogspot.com But here's a sample!
