No, seriously... the island WAS an accident! There has been an incident or, uhhhh... two... (sure, we'll go with that number)... that weren't accidents... but I've never blown up anything bigger that an outhouse.

Yeah...most of my fires were deliberate. They were never really destructive! Back when gas lights were the norm, we used to take a can of windshield deicer—most often, the filling station wasn't aware we were liberating a can of it—and we would spray the top of the gas lamp until it made a nice "whooshing" sound as it burst into flames. It seemed to have the most visual impact about 3:00 am...

I had a weird streak in me as a teen...I didn't do anything real bad, but there sure seemed to be a lot of people pissed at me. It's a good thing they didn't actually know who they were pissed at. I'd probably still be in jail...

My favorite is The Celtic Croft...  http://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/  It's family run and any problems i've had, they've jumped right on it & fixed it.

You may want to talk to Rocky over at USA Kilts...  http://usakilts.com/  He can get pretty much ANY tartan and has really good turn around time.

Last but not least is Stillwater Kilts... http://www.stillwaterkilts.com/  Their selection is a bit more limited but it's good quality stuff.

There are some others like Sport Kilt... http://www.sportkilt.com/   They've always given me good service.

I'm sure that some of my fellow R/F'ers can add to this list but these are the guys i know from personal experience.

I've never been caught red handed doing anything.    The cops where i grew up would only leave their cruisers if the thought they had a chance to ambush you.  We knew the woods & back ways so well that we could run them, full tilt, in the dead of night... They needed flashlights, we didn't.  We always knew where they were by the light beams cutting through the trees.

Lots of the member of the QOH get their kilts from Stillwaters, USA Kilts is also popular source.  If you want to try on first there are two shops at TRF that carry good kilts.  The Scot's shoppe and Authentic Wardrobe both have fair prices and good kilts.

OMG... i have found that my personal bane (read Diet's Bane) is oh-so-wonderful Italian food... i loves me some Italian food.

Well, hey there, Rapier!  Missed you the last few days.  We're pretty much the same as usual... non-conformists swimmin' in a sea of PC.  But no one really bothers us in here... so here we are!  


Fraser, Italian food is the downfall of just about every dieter on the planet, I think!!!    Unfortunately, just about any sort of pasta is going to be high in calories, and after you add the sausage and cheese, well, there might as well have never been a diet in the first place.  I'm not sure what it is about the stuff, but for some reason when anything with pasta, cheese and red sauce is served.. I can always eat faaaar more than I ever can of anything else... and it's like I'm almost compelled to do so!  

I definitely feel your pain...


It's lasagna for me.  I can never resist... (drool)
