4th batch of loki is in the bottle and shows much promise(PP).  Final batch probably 2 weeks out.

Nasty & I did a dry run and managed to set camp... both tents w/canopy... in about 30 minutes.  Yes, the rest of the junk will make it take another hour or so to get lined out.  Camp Nasty takes up an impressive corner spot.  We almost gassed ourselves sealing the seams... such a wonderful, toxic blend.

Tis all good!  I'ma knowin' that me fellow rennies will come staggering in eventually.  We are like a herd of cats... you always have some that follow along, some that do their own things, and those few that think YOU are following THEM.    As it gets later in the month, they'll start getting bit by the Faire Bug and filter in.

Fraser speaks the truth.  Conversation can get particularly sparse in here over a holiday weekend, and it's still early in the official count for all the TX rennies to be posting, yet.  

I was really just giving Fraser a hard time about his "ninja posting", lately!    He sneaks in, posts the count, and is gone again without saying anything else...  


As for being recognized at cannon, well... since we've never made it out of the campground and to the gate BY cannon... that one might be a little difficult!  LOL  We're usually at the m&g at the POW (during and) directly after parade, unless my Scally Wag is walking the parade and dancing in the chainmail show, so I can be found at one of those two places during that time of day.  

As for my character, I usually garb Gypsy, although much more traditional than the middle eastern bellydancers who call themselves Gypsies... and as for garb, I'm hoping to have several different pieces this year, so I couldn't even say what I'll be wearing at this point!  I'm always looking forward to meeting and getting to know the other R/F members, however, and I try to always wear my R/F pin where it can be seen so that other members will come and introduce themselves to me!  


And yes... come on, October!!!  

It was miserably hot yesterday, but we had a great time at the pig roast, anyway, and around midnight there was a very light 20 minute shower that cooled things off nicely...  The pig was amazing, the burgers and dogs all disappeared, and I only came home with about enough salad for our lunch today, so I the food was a big hit.  I actually made it home with half a bottle each of Black Cherry and Pineapple Cruzan Rum, though... and it's possible that I might be making a fourth flavor of Loki, now...  LOL  They're BOTH soooo tasty!!!  I also got home with two Strongbow ciders out of a 4-pack, so I didn't do a whole lot of drinking.  I decided not to camp last night, though, because it was just too hot to set up the tent, so I knew I was going to have to drive home... which means I quit drinking fairly early.  I don't take chances like that these days...

Had a great time, though... and I'm hoping that they'll go ahead and decide to have our local fireworks tonight, so Scally and I can continue our tradition of sitting out under them and ooooh-ing and ahhhh-ing along with the rest of the city.  We'll see...
