What are you talking about when you say milk of magnesia? I did a quick google search and I came up with a liquid laxative medication.

And that's what we're talking about! Can you say 'multi purpose product??'  :)  It does work really well.

But what does it do, I think she's asking? Do you use it as a primer, basically?

Sitara

Indeed. It makes a good primer as does Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel (unscented).

Yes as a primer. On top of moisturizer, on top of sunscreen, below makeup. Allow layers to set in between. Not a rapid process! I use cotton balls but I think the aforementioned cotton pad tip would work better. Basically it helps keep the makeup from 'melting' off your face.

If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right!

Makes you wonder how people come up with these solutions, doesn't it?!  :-\

For me it would be grabbing the wrong darn tube of cream.

I've done that while reaching for toothpaste. Happily, I noticed the error in time.  :D

...Actually, the white paste type of toothpaste (aka, not the gel) is great if you have a breakout.  Wash your face first and pat dry.  Then put the toothpaste on the breakout area.  Leave it on for at least a minute then wash it off.  Do this before you go to bed and the breakout will be diminished if not gone by the time you wake up.

I wanted to come back and make sure I said thank you to everyone and to show the results of my makeup enquiry.

Firstly, to anyone who doesn't have it, that Urban Decay's All Nighter makeup fixing spray is freaking amazing. I forgot to do the milk of magnesia so I cleaned my face, put on makeup primer, did my makeup and then a couple of coats of the fixing spray, and my makeup didn't go anywhere. I am talking about 95o atlanta heat plus humidity plus walking up and down steep side walks  and on saturday standing in the sun for 45 minutes waiting for the parade to start plus all the parade walking.
I was dripping sweat down my face and my makeup didn't go anywhere.
When i was ready to take the makeup off- one wipe of a makeup remover wipe and it came right off. I swear by this stuff now.

Anyway
enough babbling.
here are pictures of the makeup
