Not remotely faire-related (well, it may enable me to attend faire more often in the future), but this was my first photo for a 30-Day Photo Challenge on Facebook.

After dinner yesterday, I took a few shots of the Sunset with my new Nikon D7000 DSLR and 28-300mm lens.

Here's one I call "Sunset over the Sewage Treatment Plant"  ;)  :D
(Click on the image to see the full size 4298x3264 photo)

100mm (equivalent to 150mm on a 35mm camera)
f/5.3
1/100 sec.
ISO 100

The only processing of the image is that I had a Circular Polarizing Filter on the lens.  The RAW NEF was converted with the free Nikon ViewNX 2 software.

Thanks, it's a bit grainy because I forgot to change my ISO from the night before. I didn't even see the flying bee when I took the shot, was focusing on the other one.

I'm doing a 30-day photo project on Facebook for the month of September. This was my picture for Tuesday, and I think it's my favorite so far.
