I swear by Urban Decay's Primer Potion for eyes.  And I love their eyeliners, too.  Even the pencils have pretty good staying power.

Second!  Any eyeliner, even the "long wear ones" only last about 45 minutes on me, but the Primer Potion has them lasting all day.  Completely worth it!

Any suggestions for not looking cake-y with foundation or powder?
I'm having the worse time with eye shadow getting everywhere - i've tried Urban Decays Potion Lotion and a few others - I do light natural make up for both cast and playtron - mine was melting a few weeks ago at BARF in that lovely hot florida sun - thanks

Drat I was going to recommend Urban Decay Potion Lotion. Here's another that's pretty good by Amphigory:

New tip to add to the repertoire...

Along with the Milk of Mgnesia trick mentioned by myself and others earlier in the thread... If you are one of those like me that has those dark circles under your eyes, or perhaps blemishes you want to see disappear, then I highly recommend a product called  "COLORTRATION"  (www.colortration.com)

All it takes is literally a pinhead sized dab on the spot/circle in question and the dark spots disappear.  Apply your normal makeup as usual and enjoy.  If you layer too much you'll know it because the effect will look cakey.

They sell a wonderful tester kit for around $17 and you can choose the tester #s (six choices in all)that go within and these alone will last a LONG time if used correctly.  The actual bottled product is more expensive and requires that you take excellent care of the pump nozzle.  As a shortcut, I ordered 6 of the same shade I use, and they lasted me two years.

Your mileage may vary :)

Thanks you two! I can't wait till payday to check out both of your suggestions...It would be great to actually find a concealer that matches my skin tone and covers up acne/dark circles/etc...I'm going to re-try the urban decay one last time - i'm just tired of the raccoon look - i even tried stay don't stray by benefit - it failed - thanks again and hopefully captian faye i'll see you at the national gathering!

A little bit late for Scarby, but not for CoRf.
I still stick with the sunblock/milk of magnesia/liquid makeup/powder finish and it works fine for me.

For anyone looking for sunscreen protection and a bit of coverage for their face, I recommend Mary Kay tinted moisturizer.  It has SPF 30 in it and is really lightweight.  I do recommend it for people who don't need a lot of coverage from foundation just enough to even out their skintone.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I love Model in a Bottle. It's around 20 bucks on their website and it works wonders to keep your makeup in place. I can walk around in 90-something degree heat with it over my makeup and it really does stay put. I also like Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer, which was mentioned earlier in this thread. It really makes your eye makeup "pop".

I have tried both the Monistat Chafing Gel/Powder and the clear mascara (Cover Girl) /eye shadow for eyeliner tricks mentioned in previous posts.  Both have worked great for me.

I did try the Urban Decay eye primer, and the Too Faced brand as well, and  was not very impressed with either.   I am currently hoarding my last tube of MK Eye Primer unitl I find a new MK distributor in my area.

First off thanks for the great tip about M.O.M.. I wear it under my make-up even when I go to work. I've found that the mineral make-up foundation stays pretty good even in hot weather. For touch-ups because oily skin areas I blot with rice paper with mineral powder.

Brown napkins - like those from Starbuck's - make great blotters and can be cut into smaller pieces to make them go further.
