larger sized patterns??

I need to find a pattern for a size 26 bodice and maybe a size 24 skirt/blouse.
Any ideas? I couldn't find a pattern at JoAnn's today.

You might want to look at that thread for a lot of really good information.   

Skirts are ridiculously easy to do without a pattern.  Whatever the bodiced waist measurement is, add two inches and then cut a strip that long out of a piece of material.  (For most people, this involved cutting down the width of the fabric, not the length).  Just pleat the rest of the material to the waistband, fold the waistband over, stitch it, and add a hook and eye.

I made a larger sized friend a bodice, allowed for 4 inches of squish factor, and by the end of the day she was falling into it.  I would recomend having it lace up the back so you can use a modesty panel and give at least 6 inches for squish factor.

I used a Simplicity pattern for my bodice that I believe is now out of print that actually goes up to a size 32! I am so sad to see that the new version they have of this pattern only goes to a size 20. The pattern number is 5293 in the Renaissance collection.

I did have to alter it a little bit because sadly my belly region is more ample than my bosom region, and plus size patterns always seem to allow for AMPLE bossomage. LOL. Like I said, I believe it is out of print, but there are still copies for sale on the internet.  Size FF is for 18W-24W and Size GG is for 26W - 32W, includes bodice, chemise, and skirt patterns.

Keep in mind when you're looking at bodice patterns that you probably need to go down a few sizes from what your measurements might say. On average, you want a bodice that is app 4" smaller than your size. Most patterns, on the other hand, often have app 4" of ease built in. So a bodice pattern that goes up to a 20 or 22 might be exactly what you need.

The current SIMPLICITY Tudor pattern from Andrea Schewe goes up tpo size 24 or 48" Bust.

The pattern can be tweaked to lace up the front or back. It is a good pattern to use for women who are Plus Sized and who want to look in period with support and confort. One of the more accurately designed patterns from the Big 3 without having to go to elsewhere.

Though I do highly recomment the Elizaethan Women's Ensemble package from Margo Anderson. It's pricey, but the instruction Booklet is worth the price. Margo is a Plus Size woman and she takes into account women range in size. Her patterns go from a  Size 2 to a 30.http://www.margospatterns.com/Products/ElizWrdrb.html

 I have this one (so far I have only used the hat pattern) and the 3782.  I was originally going to make view A of the 3782 pattern, but I think I like view B, more a Mary I style.  I have to increase the bust on all the patterns I have by at least 2" over the max measurement.
