Number one, I'm gonna say it-   YAAAAAAAAY RAIN!

I'm sorry though that from what I can tell from FB from what several people posted, the campgrounds are a muddy mess. I hope everybody gets out ok and nobody washed away.

And because there was rain, where are the photos of Fraser dancing in it?!

So- how was Opening Weekend? Spectacular? Marvelous? Inquiring minds wanna know!
Still Meggers, just a little more grown up now. :)

Yay rain!!! We're getting pounded with rain here at home today, but we aren't complaining! lol...

Hope everyone out at faire and camp are doing well. Stay dry!
*Short enough to not reach the pedals, tall enough for the rides at Six Flags!*

I'm splendid. That is all.

I got a message that my sister is soaked to the bone (she's selling bows & arrows at the entrance to sherwood), and that I am to put my clothes on and stop dancing now (hrmmph).

Where is the fun in that?  Stay naked and keep dancing.  We need the rain.    ;D

That's your sister? Known her for years.

Gwen aka Punstergal

LOL Ravic, you probably knew me too, in my younger days. Silly mundane life has been keeping me too busy to work faire though. Sometimes, I sure do miss it :(

Justin needs all the help he can get.  Oh, wait.......

Yup, i did a two year stint with him in the Fairy-Tail booth *trying* to sell hair-clips to the kiddies (they were VERY rough years, so emphasis on the "trying"--I'm fairly sure he barely broke even, and the next year he took the gig with the bows).

I was drowned. I feel like I am getting sick and I have no voice. My feet are hurty and itchy and I think it is due to the fact they were submerged in water for most of the day. I looked like a drowned rat... my costume is COVERED in mud and is still soaking wet...despite the very thorough wringing and hanging up overnight. It took me an hour and a half to clean the inside of my RV up after the TRF flood of 2011. That all said... I had a decent time. Saturday was fun and I felt like I worked pretty hard and I loved the reactions I was getting to my new character. Sunday... well... still an okay time even in the rain. And it was nice to see rain.. very nice to see it.... we needed rain more than I need a clean costume so I welcomed it the best I could.

I'd like to give an online bit of applause to the French Maid who was sitting in the mud, in the rain, by a tree near the front gates with her "Mud is good for your skin!" and "I only use the finest Scottish Mud" lines. She was just precious yesterday. I hope she managed to get warm AND dry at some point in the afternoon.
