I am not at anywhere near the skill level of most of you, but I hope I can share. I am working on my kiddo's dress for faire.

We are all different skill levels here sk8er, everybody is welcome! It's adorable! Good job!

Thanks guys!  Ran into a slight snag with the sleeves but those are an easy fix.  Didn't do my measurements right there.

And she's adorable!  I applaud those who make children's clothes.  It seems so much harder than big people's, being they're so small.

But remnant bins are a renlet garber's best freind.  :D It's great to see more little ones in garb.
I've spent most the evening on the next round for my littlest. I'll try to put up pics in the morning. Once done, its a new gown for the daughter.

Adorable! And honestly, while the kirtle is perfect for faire, she could totally wear that any other time, too. :)

As promised, pictures of the current project. About 5 hours into it now (with 'help' form the kids). I'm going to look like a servant for a little prince once this is done.

I'm heading out right now to find closers, and the bottom and shoulders still need to be attached. The pictures don't do the fabric justice, its more a bronze and midnight blue than a black and tan. Lined with a black cotton bottom cloth, this thing should be a good, sturdy outer for Tristan to run about in.

Wow, he looks so princely! It's looking fabulous.

I just cut out another Pirate Vest for Jason. That will make 4 I will have made him.

Once that is done, I will make 2 Sleep Sacks for my granddaughter, Naomie. She wears them over her jammies than have a blanket in the crib. Much safer that way.

Next up on my todo list is Kiddo's Halloween costume. He is going to be Hiccup so I have some soft fur for the vest and I have to make another set of warm britches and a warm shirt. In my infinate wisedom I left the warm shirt and britches I made him in the spring at my shop when we closed up for the winter and its just not worth the drive to get them so I get to remake it. Yay.

Oh Lady K. where did you get the pattern for the sleep sack? My sister is due in February and all of our babies have been summer or early fall so we dont have any warm things for newborns so I was thinking of making some for the babe.

Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

I made a pattern by tracing one of my granddaughter's current sleep sack. If you PM me, I can make one for you and mail it.

I will even write down simple instructions.

Adriana, I made the fuzzlet's halloween costume out of a sleep sack pattern.  McCalls has a nice one that has sleeveless, and sleeved one's.  The only tweak I would say to do is put in a separating zipper UPSIDE Down.  That is put the separating bottom part at the top by the neck, and the normal zipper top down by the baby's feet.  That way you can unzip the leg area for a diaper change and still keep the kiddo warm.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

My 3 year old nephew's garb!

It's basic Turkish garb.  I need to add the buttons and finish up the sleeves -he's getting silver buttons for the front of it.   It will come to about his knees.   He wanted something "pretty like Nonna and Aunt Sissy!" so I hope this fits the bill while still being boyish.  :-)  It's a lovely ORANGE linen with some trim I think I got at Joanns.

He originally wanted the outfit the little boy is wearing in this illumination.  However, once I cut it out I realized how Turkish it looked and figured he might want the trim and silver buttons.   Little kids like shiny things.  ;D

I finally got around to getting this ensemble cut out for myself. The fabric is a Black Moree Taffetta. I will be doing the lower necked Bodice top with 3/4 sleeves than the ones shown. There will be the Underskirt Dust ruffle knife pleated. I am going to do the same to finish the neck, sleeves and bodice bottom. Then sew Black gimp to give it a final finish. Buttons have a touch of glimmer. This will be perfect for an event I am going to on 22 October, Halloween, and CONVergence Next year.

I will work on this while I am at my daughter's for the next several days. Photos when I get pieces done.

I have the Vistorian Underskirt finished. The bottom is edged with a 12" knife pleated ruffle .

The Overskirt has a few adjustments to be made. I ran out of 1/2" black gimp. I am going to have to run up to Hoby Lobby and get more so I can overlap on the Overskirt, and have enough for the bodice.

Photos coming soon.
