I can't say how THRILLED I am for this visit ... I'll be with friends (Texas Musketeers) staying offsite.  And Sunday's adventure will be cut short before closing cannon as we have to drive back to Dallas ... but I'll still be at TRF for most of the weekend.

I'll have favors, so I hope to find at least some if not all at you.  (I believe there is an unofficial meet and greet after parade at the PoW Pub, yes?)

So ... I have been to TRF several times, but I always miss the good things.  So I'm asking for reminders of said awesomeness so I DON'T miss such things this time around ...

Shows not to miss?
Food that must be eaten?
Sights that must be taken in?

Somewhere at sometime I read there were crepes ... where!?

Cheers!

Well don't miss the Queens Own Highlanders.  We will be in parade all weekend. ;D

There are many places where compromise is expected;
LOYALTY is not amongst them.

Said crepes are at the fruit stand just across from the POW pub.

Shows: Sound & Fury, Circa Paleo, Clan Tynker, Tartanic, too many others to remember....

Steel Sister a new act at TRF this year is fun. And if you like  bawdy humor try seeing Arthur Greenleaf Holmes at the polish pub the same stage as Iris and Rose

Didn't know anyone else was on the I&R stage.  Thats good to know. Thanks (o:

Sound and Fury is one that I try REALLY hard not to miss.

This year I tried the Souvlaki for the first time....BEST. FOOD. EVER!!  I have found my new favorite.  I tried the pork and the chicken...I like the pork more but both were good. Found in the back right corner in the Greek area.

Have you had a chance to catch Sound and Fury in Conroe yet?  They are a blast.

Sound and Fury non-faire shows are fantastic.  Sadly, I don't catch them nearly enough.  I'll have to fix that ...

And I better pack ... only a few days to go!

We're packing on the other side of the country (Florida), for the same weekend.

Finished making my wife's new overdress, pressed some wrinkles out of my kilts, found my tam ...

My wife and I are looking forward to this as well.

Blushing, will you be in the Conroe area Friday evening? We're planning to get in that afternoon, and are hoping to find someone to have dinner with in the area.

Funny thing about flying from Colorado to Texas ... Southwest was best (no bag fees) but I'm flying from Denver to Houston to Dallas, getting picked up by friends, then driving to the Conroe area ... I should have planned that better.  :D

iain robb ... I'm not sure where we are staying ... yet!  But we will be there Friday evening.

I'll say.  When you land in Houston, you will be less then an hour from George Bush Int. or 1:20 at the most from Hobby.  Flying to Dallas puts you 5 hours away.

I know ... but it makes for a silly tale.  My friends live near Dallas, so I get time to catch up with them on the drive up and down.  So it works out.  And five hours isn't that bad - and I'm not the one doing the driving!
