Lookinhg for Silk myself for an upcoming commission, I came acrossed Silk Baron.com http://silkbaron.com/silk/color.aspx?collectionid=3 for Dupioni Silks in a WIDE range of colors.

I ordered 8 yards of each of Eggplant Purple and Aztec Gold at  at $15 a yard. That was the least expensive  I found on the internet . Even eBay did not offer such an array of Silks. Silk Baron came highly recommended to me by Very Merry Seamstress and a few other Professional costumers I know.

The Silks I ordered are just lovely! Very nice quality. There are more I plan to order when clients request Silk.

Andrew at Silk Baron is also a real pleasure to work with. When I was looking for greens for the lining of the Promenade skirt, he threw in a couple extra colors to my swatch order! (They charge for swatches, but you can see, they're super-nice about it!)  Sometimes I go to the Silk Baron website just to look at the colors....
