I just saw this on the Nat.Geo channel that, if anyone that remembers all the videotographers
taking footage of the "Knights of Mayhem" during the run of the faire; it's going to be a series
and not a 1 shot special. Should be plenty of footage from Sherwood and anyone caught in
the spotlight. I didn't get dates and times so please post if you know when.

National Geo. website has some info - starts Nov 15. Looks like there are 4 episodes.  Unfortunately, I'm using dial-up and cannot load a lot of stuff from the website, including pictures and video (just too slow equipment on my end).

Just Google for National Geographic Channel to get to their main website, search for "Knights of Mayhem" (use the quotes) to get to the info pages.

CBS just had a segment on jousting and mentioned the KoM.  If you have the NatGeo channel, you might be interested.  I couldn't get a decent connection to link to it, either.

Will they be at Sherwood? Never seen full contact jousting before.

I see that Charlie Andrews  will be a key feature in it. I wonder if they've cleared up his military record for this show.   ???

Knights of Mayhem will be at Sherwood Forest Faire this year.  Each weekend, the patrons will be able to view full contact joust.  The last weekend (8th) of faire will host the Second Annual Full Contact Joust Tournament.

Plan on being at Sherwood this year!!!

I'm torn. While on the one hand I am loving the exposure Sherwood is getting, and am all for any mainstream press or media exposure, on the other hand I am not sure how it will affect Sherwood's reputation that Charlie is the main focus of the show. The man exposes his complete contempt for the renaissance festival community- without which he would have nothing at all, much less a jousting career- and his complete asshattery attitude in the first few minutes of the program, and it just goes downhill from there. He may be a talented technical jouster, but he is the antithesis of what chivalric knighthood is about. I, for one, won't be watching any more of the program if he remains the primary focus. I refuse to contribute ratings that could translate into dollars in the pocket of an egotistical blowhard who denigrates the very community from which he got his start, and has been thoroughly busted for falsely claiming to be a Navy SEAL (scroll down about halfway).

After watching the first two episodes, the only reason I would really be interested in continuing to watch the show would be if I knew that it ended with Charlie alone with no one to talk big to and no one caring what he does.  That guy is an weed puller...
