I'm one of those people who tends to live by a schedule, blocking out time to do things. I have to in my work, and it has carried over into the rest of my life. I'm getting my faire schedule put together for the year, and this is what it's looking like so far:
Sherwood Forest
Scarborough
Carolina Ren Fest / RenDezvous
Also got to try to sneak in a trip to OkRF and Spirit of Magic...may have to do them the same weekend

What are everyone's plans? This is assuming, of course, that we don't suffer another rapture or whatever...

Opening for Sherwood, maybe Closing and maybe a few weekends in between with fingers crossed.

TRF will have us for AHE most likely and I would like to attend Opening along with Closing.
*Short enough to not reach the pedals, tall enough for the rides at Six Flags!*

I'm splendid. That is all.

Feb 18 & 19 at Sherwood
NTIF
All of Scarby
Celtic Fling in June on the PARF grounds
Opening, and possibly closing at TRF
Pirate Days of Texas

It's possible that a few others will sneak in here and there, but as it stands now, TX Scottish Fest is out for me since it's during Scarby this year, Norman is still up in the air, and honestly will depend on whether or not The Rogues will be there. Muskogee is a no-go for me since it's during Scarby as well.

I remember back in the mid- to late-90's that Scarby overlapped the TX Scottish Festival, and then Scarby moved their schedule up one week, so they ended on Memorial Day Monday --- while the Scottish Festival remained the first weekend of June.

Now the TX Scottish Festival has moved their dates to be right in the middle of Scarby's run --- on the first weekend of May.  I don't know how many performers and vendors this will inconvenience, but I guess a number of patrons will be irked.

I'm planning to be at Sherwood Forest Faire for Opening Weekend, and the weekend that Rani & Scally will be there for Scally's Birthday.

Don't know about TRF at the end of the year, since I may be out of work after September (cut backs from two shifts of support to one shift in the Labs where I work are scheduled).

So far, the faires I'm planning on visiting are the ones I can day-trip to:

Connecticut Renaissance Faire (Robin Hood Springtime Festival)
Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire (CT)
New Jersey Renaissance Faire
New York Renaissance Faire
Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire

I have a couple others that I very much want to attend but that will depend on finances since they are way out of day-trip range. I am keeping my fingers crossed and saving my pennies!
I came, I saw, I skipped to my lou.

Sherwood hoping for three weekends,  FourWinds at least one weekend, Scarborough all weekends,  TRF hoping for three weekends.

Then out of state maybe great Lakes, or Pittsburgh depending on many things.

For the Scottish fest thinking that will be in the evening after Scarby or do Friday.

The Arkansas Scottish Festival also occurs during Scarby's run, in mid-April. This will be their 33rd year. I've never been, although Nimue has, I believe.  I'd rather do Scarborough myself.
