Mini-hat hairstyles?

Looking for suggestions about how to style hair to wear with this type of mini-hat. We attempted a bun-on-the-side, as you can see, but my daughter's hair is cut with many layers and despite lots and lots of bobby pins, it kept falling apart. Ideas?

Hi,

I can't see the photo (facebook.   As someone coming from the IT side of things, Facebook is something that should be deleted immediately and completely.  If you want to talk to friends, call them or email them.  It's a LOT safer.) but the majority of the time, i see people wearing their hair either down or pulled back into a curlycue.

really? when I click the link, it pops up. Im not sure how else to post photos here...

Where the picture is hosted has an effect on whether (or not) everybody on a forum can see it on their PC.
For example:  Only a select few pictures (and avatars) show up on my work PC.
Our IT has every social networking site, some personal webpages, and anything with 'blog' in the address filtered, which means that not only can I not bring up those sites; I cannot see an image that is hosted on any of the above on that machine. For example: I can access this forum, go to a topic and read the text under where a picture should be, but all I see is a large vacant area in the post. This is a minor pain because I usually have to wait until I get home to see any pictures posted to the garb galleries.
This is why I upload my pics to Photobucket and link to that.  I have never had issues with any machine or site that way, and my Avatar is always viewable.

Try this thread, which in turn has links back to previous threads for different tricks for dealing with hair of varying lengths, colors and the creative use of hairpieces with garb...

With that hat ringlets would be adorable make sure that you use plenty of hairspray and hair goo.

Much easier than everyone thinks to post facebook photos here.  Just click on the photo, itself, then right click on it, choose "Open image in new tab (or window)", then copy the link and paste it between the [ img][/img ] brackets (without the spaces, of course).  Like so:

As Rowen pointed out very well, it's not just about how to post them (ie, the img brackets) but whether or not that people can see them at work.  And the fact, once again, facebook really is evil.

Places to host pictures so you can post them:

Photobucket as Rowen suggested.
Flickr - it has a post pull down where you can choose BBcode; it's a cut and paste from there
Picasa

All of these are far more private.  I know with both Flickr and Picasa, you can choose who sees your photos (Picasa's options are slightly different from Flickr's).  I'm not sure about Photobucket as I haven't really played with that in a while.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion...

On Photobucket, just set your album preferences to private.  The general public cannot access your pictures or albums unless they have a password.  I  use it regularly for forums and Avatars, but I have used it to back up pictures that I like to have on my computer and don't want to lose (I also keep copies on CD's) so I can access them with out pulling out my hard copies when my machines die, as they do every few years.

Sounds like a good idea!  I was thinking an offset french twist, maybe?

Im thinking
since you say her hair is so wispy anyway,
why not go with it and accentuate it- do something kinda funky.

I just did a quick google image search and found these that I like- shoot  I might start doing this for myself for work :)

  Loving those glasses  ^_^.
Would a caul or a snood look OK with the mini hat?

Adriana, Rani, and others who replied to my original question....

Thank you.

We will keep trying with some of these other ideas you have posted, and have them ready for faire this summer! :) I had to do a demonstration speech for my COMM class, so I chose these little hats to do....I had done a ppt presentation and took the hats and tools/supplies in. I wanted to catch attention (I was required to have an "attention getting visual aid") with an initial photo, but since we had difficulty with Savannah's hair, and my other daughter wouldnt pose for me, I kept Savannah's pic as it was, put it at the end and....

used a smaller hat, put a bun on  my yorkie (who looks a lot like a mini ewok) and used her as my hat model. She worked quite well as an attention getter:)

I had to present yesterday morning, so it had to be finished Monday night, so I hadnt gotten any workable replies before then, and I had to leave it as it was.

Several females in my class were excited about the hats and really enjoyed the instruction.
