Wool Sale!

$3.99 a yard for 100% wool.  How can you beat that? ;D  There is a gray wool/linen blend that I bought enough of for a lovely kirtle.   Remember, anything can be dyed black!  (ie, even if you don't like the colors, buy it at this price.  Fabric dye is cheap.)

Shame on you, enabling my addiction! I've been trying to clean out my fabric closet by making clothes for a friend's drama ministry. This might undo two months' work!   :-\

Don't think of it as enabling an addiction, think of it as further creating a fabric stash of historically accurate fibers.  ;D

Honestly, I blame fabric dot com.  Just when I said "That's it!  No more buying stuffs!" they come up with this sale....  grr....

I saw!  They added more colors.  :-)

Today is the last day for the sale and they still have a lot of great wools up.  They have some lovely plaids for skirts and kilts, great wools for capes and cloaks, tropical weight wools for doublets and dresses.   I just bought another 10 yards of tropical weight beige wool this morning that I'm going to dye bright red for various applications.  I also got some lovely purple plaid for an Edwardian swimsuit.   At $3.99 a yard, you really can't beat this deal.

Although the $3.99 sale is over, I saw this 100% wool on sale for $1.95 this morning:

Woven Wool Suiting Mocha   The color is probably less than desirable for most of us but, as I have said before, anything can be dyed black.   ;)
