June Gathering

Begin to plan for the upcoming Gathering--the first of the post 2012 faire season.  Scarby will have concluded (we did not want to compete with our friends to the north).  And our need to commune, gather and revel in each other's company as summer begins is paramount. 

Camping will open Friday, June 1st at 2pm and close Sunday, June 3rd at 5pm.  Volunteer work day on Saturday.  Lots of trees to cut up from the drought of 2011.

Potluck will begin at 6pm at the pub.  Then at dark we will wander to the seven sisters for drumming, fire spinning and dance.  It will be a near full moon.  So, bring your howling voice.

Invite friends and family.

I hear rumors of music at the elven hill stage during or shortly after the pot luck.

operations guys with the use of a rented lull have been dropping all the dead trees we lost during the drought of 2011.  next saturday, we will need a slew of volunteers to cut up and clear the grounds of a the felled trees.  in the fall, we will have a great planting to replace our green and wood friends we lost.

greetings all!!!

this weekend is quickly approaching.  should be fun.  a great band is entertaining us friday night beginning at 11pm.  traditional greek (gypsy) music.  some of the very best musicians i have heard.  also have a grand performance by saxon moon on saturday after the cover dish (cover dish begins at the pub at 6pm).  hoping for drummers and fire spinners for later around the seven sisters.

for those who have not attended, nothing is required to attend.  open invitation.  we would encourage you to bring a cover dish to the pot luck on saturday evening at 6pm. 

the volunteer work day on saturday beginning at 9am is NOT MANDATORY to attend.  Come even if you are unable or uninterested in manual labor on a hot texas summer morning. 

invite your family and friends.

the faire will have water and soft drinks during the day time hours, and will add a keg or two of ale during the evening.

what a weekend!!!
very fun. relaxing.  lots of volunteers who pitched in to help.
the music was great both nites.
lots of sherwoodians...good food...great comradre.
nice relaxing evening under a near full moon at the seven sisters.
