They should hit at just above the side of my shoulders. I have broad shoulders, But if they go to the sides? Oh well add to the look.

I ordered bilements from Sapphire and Sage to go on the straps done in pearls and jet gems with bronze settings

Looks great Kathy, excited to wear it and see the finished blue. Now lets hope Sapphire and Sage gets our orders done.

The straps are 19" long. I have them pinned in the center to keep them up for now, as they willo sit on the edge of the shoulder.. The back part of the strap snaps. I will include extra beading, trims, snaps for repairs when needed. You will be bound to lose a bead or sequin from time to time.

The added Billements should give it that finish that will be stunning indeed. Then accessorize with lots of jewelry.

I actually like the white coif.  :-)

My latest Renn gown:

The sleeves are silk velvet and the dress is silk blend brocade.
I love how the dress fits, and those sleeves looks scrumptious!

Also CenturiesSewing - HOLY MOLY! I love how your dresses rely on "plain" fabrics and a good cut. You make it look so easy, and so period. Absolutely gorgeous. Love the colours too.

So much eye candy to come back here. This certainly is the place to come for inspiration! Thank you, all!

Oh, very smart!

This is our latest:

Bit OT for period, but it was a fun project for Su and I to work on.  There are black trousers with a perfect black braid (a la evening trousers) to go with it, but I failed to get pix of them.

There should be more period stuff later.

So did Jack.   :)  His bride is wearing the peacock blue and green: green skirt and corset with peacock trimmings.  He wanted to complement her gown without being too mixy-matchy.  His blue Barathea was chosen to go with them.  The black Barathea trousers and embroidered waistcoat were chhosen as a foil for the colours.

Thank you all for the praise, encouragement and advice
.  This was as much a learning experience, than a sewing project....

David already has plans for the next one....He wants paned slops to go with the doublet now.
I would like to do this dress in another color too...

Well, I am at least five pages behind with countless creations to ooh and ahh over. As in a candy store, everything in here is wonderful. :) I Don't even know where to begin...! From the emroidered coif to Amyj's young knights. The elegance of CS's gorgous tudor to Kathleens opulent creations. Rowen's first noble to Dona's newest and Drac's lady's. Isabella's and Kate's fun creations and so many others.....so much to see in here! Always so much fun. Thanks for taking the time to share. :)
