Novy Hradek is situated about 14 km east of Vranov, Czech Republic.

It consists of two objects - the older Luxembourg building with double oval ring or rampart walls from the 14th century and the front castle, which was built in 15th and 16th century from the original fortress. The likely owes its existence to the river below which forms the border with Austria.

Kasteel van Poeke is a castle in Poeke , a borough of Aalter in the Belgian province of East Flanders.

The exact build date of the castle is not known; but Poeke Castle is mentioned in records in 1139. The castle is still the same basic structure with a double moat system and three bridges.

Kasteel van Schoten is located in Schoten, just east of Antwerp, Belgium.

The first mention of the Castle dates from 1232. It is probably a sister castle to the one at Breda since both date from the early 1200's and were under the authority of the Lords of Schoten. Since the town converted it to a cultural center in 1950, only one gate tower remains outside the moat.

Cakovec Castle or Zrinski Castle is a castle in Cakovec, northern Croatia.

The castle was built in the 13th century by Count Dimitrius Csaky, after whom the city of Cakovec is named.

Cervena Hora Castle and the village nearby are located in the Czech Republic.

Bothe the castle and the village take their name from the mountain on which the castle stands. Cervena Hora means Red Mountain. Cervena Hora Castle was founded in direct support of King Premysl Otakar II sometime shortly after 1253. The first documented owner of the castle and manor is Lord Sezema z Cervene Hory, though undated.

Soborg Castle, in its heyday, was the strongest castle in Denmark.

Kalvi is a manor house converted castle in Aseri Parish, Ida-Viru County, in northeastern Estonia.

Knight Odert Lode got possession of the land holdings in Kalvi, Kiyu, Püssi and Kohtla from the Danish Crown in about 1219. The castle he built eventually ended up being sold by King Valdemar IV to the Teutonic order in 1346. There are wall remains outside the current manor building which incorporates most of the main keep.

Carn Brea Castle is located in Cornwall, England.

The Castle was originally built as a refuge and chapel, in 1379, thought to be dedicated to St Michael. Constructed of gray granite, the castle has been extensively rebuilt in different periods since.

Château du Plessis-Josso is located in the town of Theix, France.

Château de Châlucet, a ruined castle, is in the commune of Saint-Jean-Ligoure, France.

The castle was built in 1130 and played a significant role in support of the Bishop of Limoges in his struggle against the Count of Poitiers. According to Abbey chronicles it was owned or occupied by two knights of the family of Bernard Jaunhac. The Castle entrance is in the lower section though most of the outer walls are fallen and grown over.

Burg Bickenbach, also known as Burg Alsbach, is located in Alsbach Alsbach-Hähnlein, Hesse, Germany.

Bickenbach castle was built about in 1235 by the lords of Bickenbach on the 257 meter high hill overlooking the village Alsbach. The castle from 773 that was already in the Lorsch codex was probably a Motte and Bailey structure.

Burg Alsbach is also the name of a water castle in Engelskirchen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

The castle's first appearance in exisiting records is in zu me hove in 1373. There are not many photos available; but it does still have the moat and bridge and some medieval elements.

Osu Castle, also known as Fort Christiansborg or simply the Castle, is a castle located in Osu, Accra, Ghana.

The area was first occupied in 1550 by the Portuguese, who probably built a fortress mostly of timber. The first substantial stone castle was built by the Danish in 1660.
