According to School Days at Texas Renaissance Festival's FB page, the Crown Jewels (presumably the British ones, as the collection includes Queen Elizabeth's Salt) will be making an appearance at the Texas Renaissance Festival in October.

Holy cow, now THAT'S exciting!

I have no idea, but it's right there on the page, that Queen Elizabeths' Salt is currently on tour with the Crown Jewels, which will be making an appearance at TRF in October.

I'm ecstatic over this one.  This is a big deal, and a major marketing WIN.   I know that I have been pretty vocal with my disgust at some of the Springer-esque shock tactics that the current Marketing Team has been pulling... but I am more than willing to give serious props when they are due.   And they sure are now!    THIS is the kind of thing that we should all be PROUD to have associated with Texas Renaissance Festival.

Way to go!!!

Aight.  Nevermind.  They're replicas.  I feel foolish.

There is nothing to feel foolish about.  I wouldn't put anything past TRF to pull something like that off.

I know that Scarborough has one of, as I understand it, a few COMPLETE replica sets. They were used in I think perhaps 2010, in a wonderful recreation of Henry VIII's coronation to celebrate the 500th anniversary.
