Super pretty Cinderella!!

Kate, beautiful work, as usual!

My own Leicester project is still under way but I had so much frustration deciding which way to go on the hat that I consider it a finished project all by itself!

I had to make the trim and hatband using the burg velvet and stitching down the teeny gold cord. What can I say? I'm just not having fun unless I'm killing myself over tedious little details.

as always, http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com for the full story...

Thank you.

The hat is very spiffy!  Love it.

*twitch* Now I have the songs for Into the Woods stuck in my head! :o

I love the dress, it is the best one that I have seen for that charature. The differance is very nice over the marizpan version that is usually used.

Great work all around ladies! Kate those outfits are so very Father Christmas, I love it!

Silverstah--such a great interpretation (But I too am partial to DA lol)! And, way to make life easier down the road  ;)

Cecils--great hat! I suck at millinery, you not so much :D

:waving: Hi! It's been months since I've checked in so I had 12 or so pages to look through and I am very impressed with the creativity here!

It's also been months since I have added anything to my garb closet because the fibromyalgia has been getting worse. I made myself a new gown nearly a year ago that I don't think I shared here. This was my first time sewing entirely by hand and using period construction details such as interlining the bodice with canvas and wool felt pad stitched together, using a strip of wool at the hem. and using snipped edging to the neckline, cufs, and hem.

Holy cripes woman, you're fast!!

It's gorgeous! There's something about green and gold. Like purple and silver. Like peanut butter and chocolate.

Mmmm...chocolate.

Easily distracted by...everything. Carry on!

Oh my word, that is beautiful. No, that's too mild a word. Wow, something like a half-million words in the English language, and I can't find an appropriate one for how good that doublet looks. Well done.

Wow, Lady Kathleen, that is stunning. Love that green.

 Awesome!
I bought about  15 yards of that fabric, or one very close to it, in green with gold vine pattern last September during a sale at Joanns, and was going to start a doublet for David this weekend.  It's much lighter weight than the black and gold dec fabric I used last time.
I gives me an idea on how it will look ^_^.  I will be piping it and using some of my massive trim stash.
