Le sigh... in 6 weeks I'll be packing my car so it'll be ready to take me to campgrounds after work the next day...
I won't be camping until AHE, unless I drive out the Opening night and crash in my SUV...but I know exactly wha you're saying! ;)

I'll volunteer if the upkeep is beer or Scotch Whiskey?

What do ya think Rani??  Should we let Hector apply for the job? ;)

I think that would totally have to depend on how he looks in oil...  ;)  heheh

Hector, I refuse to pay in beer... but I'm sure a good single malt Scotch could be acquired to even out the trade!

Bonny, I think we might need to have more than one manservant for this Encampment... we might just need to hold auditions uhhh... interviews!  Yeah, that's it... interviews.  After all, peeling grapes and fanning is a tough job... we'd need to make sure the men are up to the task!  We'll need to come up with some good questions to ask, and a few "tests" they need to pass before being, ummm... hired.  Oh, and I'm sure they would all feel much more comfortable in some sort of uniform.  Hmmm... now what ever could they all wear that would be comfortable, easy to work in, and allow them to stay well oiled and ready for grape peeling?   8)  heheh

You all get to be there two whole weeks before we do!  Soooo not fair!  :P  It's ok, though... someone needs to get out there and make sure the place is ready for us, I suppose!  lol

Riot... did I read that correctly?  You no longer have the Keurig?  Oh, poor Scally... she's going to mourn like she's lost her best friend!  I need to start seriously haunting craigslist, I guess, to see if I can find one for a really great price, so we can bring one with us, and share with YOU, for a change!  <3

It's going to be a good weekend to air mine out.

I'm just waiting on an insurance check, and then I can order ours.  I really would like to have the pop-up... but there are so many other things I need to do with that money, instead.  I do think I'm going to get the inflatable tent, though.  Pretty sure I've made up my mind, anyway...

Yes, the money for a pop up could be used for an entire season in a tent.   :P

Hey, that's kind of cool!  Like having a microwave in camp!  LOL  I'm not too sure I'd enjoy the Nescafe coffee... but it would be really neat to have self-heating meals in camp!  Well... depending on the chemicals used, of course, and the exposure to them that the food/beverages gets.  Still... nothing like livin' in the future, huh?  :o  LOL

Fraser, what was the brand you had that gave you so much trouble?

Braun... But it is my everyday pot.  Standard coffee makers pull a lot of juice... More than my 900w inverter could handle...

Hmmm... Braun is usually a really decent brand.

Well, can you get a more powerful inverter, maybe?  Here's a 115v inverter from Harbor Freight (that's on sale right now) that has a surge capacity of up to 1500w peak performance, with although it's normal output is only 750w.  It looks to be a pretty decent price, though, compared to a lot that I just glanced at, and it's ratings seem to be pretty good, also.  Not much cord to it, but it's got several other features that would seem to recommend it... particularly the 90 day warranty.

Coleman makes a couple coffee makers, drip style; one (about $40) sits on a propane stove (but from what I've seen takes a really looooonnnnngggg time to make a pot of coffee probably  because the heat source is so far below the coffee maker).  The other coffee pot (in the range of $70) has its own built in propane connection - I have not seen that one used so I do not know how long it takes, but some reviews said it was faster than the old style.
