Just a rant.
I just went through some photos I found online from this season at TRF. Kind of pissed me off and made me sad at the same time.
It kills me how some people have no manners or respect for other people's or company's property.
There were pictures taken in the Magic Gardens, and they were hanging off of statues.
I don't mean the big elephants, but the Angel sculptures, the Unicorn and other pieces of art that are not made to be load bearing.
One picture the guy is using the Unicorn's tail for leverage, as he climbed up the backside to acted like he was humping it. The tail was obviously broken before, but that didn't matter. This just floors me that some people thinks it is OK to treat other peoples property like it is their very own life size toy. Hanging off of the Angel's wings, Goddess's arms, and other sculptures without even a thought of the consequences to the object.
Some people just have no thought outside themselves.  >:(
Sorry for the rant.

I was shocked at the condition of the camp grounds Monday morning when leaving,  I know the a storm came through Sunday morning but come on.  One section by the back road just up from the wash was totally trashed not even a effort made to move stuff to the dumpest 20 feet away.  And not wrecked tents or ez-up just party trash,  Felt sorry for Mike and the others who work so hard to give us a nice camp grounds.

It has always been the "tradition," if you wish to call it thus, with the people that we used to camp a lot with, that the area is left cleaner than it was when we arrived. Even if we ended up camping at a trashed site, it would be left spotless.

Isn't that Boy/Girl Scout basic training? We were always told-'Pack in, pack out'.  We were also trained to pick up after whomever came before us.

There is no excuse to leave trash behind you, whether it's a park with trash facilities or a wilderness area.

Part of our clan rules too Merlin and I know many other clans have the same rule.  I think its the none renfaire people just out for a halloween party that left the mess at least I hope it was.

Those of you here discussing this are obviously civilized people who were brought up smartly by your ancestors and have some higher level of respect and consideration for others and your world around you.

The air breathers you are discussing have none of the above.  Wild bores are better for the earth than these animals.

We had a group of @ss Monkeys move in next to our camp on Saturday night.  They destroyed their area with trash.  We left them a trash bag and they drove off with the trash bag still on their vehicle.  Useless.

Does the phrase "Oy! Vey!" mean anything? Perhaps a deposit for those not regularly camping... This is disgusting.

Sir Martin

In the Magic Garden, there is a three headed camel statue that is missing a head.  It saddens me that patrons would break works of art that are created for everyone's enjoyment.  The unicorns are kinda cool.  Shame on those who climb on statues that are not meant to bear weight.  I am really proud of the honorable people here who make sure their camping areas are at least as clean as when they arrived.  I'll bet those who leave trash everywhere do the same thing around their own houses.

I'll agree with you on that Sir Martin.  People that pick up and clean up after themselves make that habit in all areas of their lives.  I'd bet that the folks that leave a mess behind them would be the first ones to whine & complain if they showed up and they had to clean up a mess before they able to set up camp.
Spiced rum....hmmmmm
Greetings, try this.
