Breandan, you might have better luck if you ask in the garbing forum, in the crafting threads.  Oh, or message Auryn, since she does a LOT of leather armour, and could likely tell you exactly what you will need!  She's also one of the most amazing costumers I have ever known, so she will steer you right, I promise.

I think so, as well... but then, leather armor is always impressive!  I would imagine it's pretty warm, also!  I'm guessing that might come in handy this weekend!    It's just a little chilly up here, right now... and snowy!

Breandon - Looks like a worthy effort for new kit. Not sure what I would suggest on fur or leather. There is a guy I know who does some amazing bronze fittings at really affordable prices. I'll try to find his site link and post later if you are interested.

Job may change over the next several months as GE just purchased our business group. Could be very interesting for the 900+ employees they garnered in the transaction.

Well... I think we have, once again, beaten back the plague... and will live to fight another day.  We've both been really sick, up here, and are just now getting back to being able to function like humans again. 

In other news... we have finally gotten the backyard studio we've been wanting for years, now (even though we never had a backyard until 10 months ago)... and we're starting to set it up, finally, after having it for a whole week (while we have been deathly ill, and unable to do anything at all), and getting nothing done.  We're starting to move all of the fun crafting and art supplies in now, and hopefully it will be in working order in a short time!  I still have to insulate it, though, because it IS a metal roofed and sided shed (10' x 16'), and it will turn into a blast furnace in a very few weeks if I don't... but other than that, it's ready to go!  We're just a bit excited...
