These next 17 days are going to be murder to get thorough.  I believe I have Faire fever, worse than usual.
I was checking and this will be my 24th straight opening for TRF.  I haven't missed one since I moved to Houston in 1991.  Thoughts like this make me feel old.  But it beats the alternative....

The fair sure does look empty the last 2 weekends with only workers there. Some shops are working hard to repair/upgrade there shops and some are un-touched and could use a major cleaning. The heavy flooding rains really messed up some of the paths and washed them out. im sure that will be fixed by opening weekend.
The camp grounds grass was really high and green. They said they will have to cut it again right before opening.

digging out gear and breaking in my new stuff (my new wool trews are the Viking hip-hugger skinny-jeans on me, bloody manufacturer doesn't understand that some men have thighs and calves other than Twig in size >.< ), and feverishly working on the upgrades to the armour. As an aside, I need to figure out where to find an overcoat like the one in this pic for Tiff (the gown and smock I can find easily), as well as a good source for the jewelry-

B... here is the maker of that coat... but it's a bit pricey!  Well worth the price, though, I would think, judging from the description. 


I'm sure Lady Kathleen could make one for you, but I'm not sure if she would have an opening in her schedule at this time of year. 


Here is something similar, without the embroidery or fur...but with the savings on price you could easily have those added.  In fact, at TRF there is a shop called Castle Tower Creations (Booth Location: 269) that does custom machine embroidery, and I would be willing to bet the lady who owns the shop would do it between weekends, so you could drop it off for her one weekend and have it back the next... or two weeks, at most, depending on how busy she is.  The fur can be found in at least one of the other shops, and probably more... or online, I'm sure.  This maker has some made to measure trews you might be interested in, as well... and quite a few other accessories, also.  I like her hats. 

One more source here... (scroll down to see the coats) but it's in Europe, and may not get there in time.
