It appears they've shoved a new market in next to the German area..."Florence Market".  There wasn't a whole lot of room with the Mud Show there...is that stage gone?

From what I gather the mud show stage is gone.  Don't know if they moved it or if the show is completely gone but I guess well find out soon.

I see several people in quite a few of those photos that I recognize, Fraser... but I'm not sure if any of them would actually remember being there at the time!  LOL  Looks like they were all having fun, though, and that's what counts! 


Nice bit of booty there, Rider!  I can't imagine why someone would toss that overboard! 


Sooo... anyone have any thoughts on the "new" TRF After Dark scheme that's replacing the Masquerade Ball this year?  The tickets seems a great deal more reasonable at $20, at least, although the drinks are outrageous at $8 each... and I guess it's $40 if you want to add the hors d' ouevres buffet, but if it's continuous service that's not too bad, I suppose.  A lot less than it was last year, anyway.  Did anyone go last year?  If so, what was your impression?

I'm reserving judgment , Rani, until I hear how it goes this year.  Last year had a theme but this seems to be more of a free-for-all, which may turn out quite well.

*Still think a Viking Meade Hall would be the way to go.  IMO*

I heard through a reliable source that the Mud Stage was removed to make way for the new Florence vendor area.  They also told me that The Sturdy Beggars will still be performing, but their show will be moved to the Tower Stage, which has been expanded to include a mud pit area.

I look on these changes as part of TRF... Slowly evolving...constantly morphing...

Now if Terre can hit on a good blend of old & new....
