Now that it's out of the way, i can focus on faire junk.

We were out there yesterday and had a fabulous time, even though everyone looked like they were melting in the heat!  We took my step-daughter and her husband for their first time, coming from out of state. We made sure they had the mandatory first timer turkey leg and mead. I suspect they will be back next October! The heat was a good reminder of why we don't normally go this early in the season. There was a good crowd, but not uncomfortably crowded. Can't wait for camping next month!

Almost time to go into the yearly "pre camp frenzy".  Will be bottling the Loki, that is coming to faire, tonight...and slowly loading the SUV so it won't be like my first time when I forgot half my food.  *Well, it was coming down it buckets, when Nasty and I were loading that year...and we had started drinking pretty early.*

Since the R word is in the forecast for today/tonight, seems like a good time to tear apart my camp cook kit and see what I'll be needing to pick up...

The weather looks a bit unsettled for next week.  *Fingers crossed*
