kinda makes me glad i decided not to wear a hoop with my costume. having a sword and bag and a dress trying to use the privy is horrid enough. thankfully i can remove my sword and bag before i go to the privy

I always carry a couple of kitchen size garbage bags in my emergency kit... just for rainy days.  Slide them up over your arms and poke your hands through the bottom.  This will keep your sleeves from getting mud on them from your skirt hems.

Garbage bags are now added to my emergency kit.  Thanks for the tip! :) :)

Entering a privy with wings is just as entertaining!   Open the door to the handicapped stall, try to keep the door open while backing in, smirk at all the confused looks you receive...  then try to get everything readjusted without being able to turn around...  I always where shorts or bloomers underneath so I usually end up doing a lot of readjusting in the main part of the privy.

Thankfully, I don't have to deal with port-o-johns.... :P ::)

Lady Nicolette gave us another great use for garbage bags.  They fold up really small and can fit in a basket or a pouch.  Rainy weather?  Pull it out and put it on top of the seat to keep your bum dry.  We've already used this idea and it really works.  Thanks, Lady N!

thats a good idea.  The stop and drop, or have a really good friend helping is the best way to use a privy on a rainy day.  If it's not an option, then the peacock over and resting on the head, roll the muddy part of skirt away from you, back under hoop, and shift everything to one side.  So a lopsided peacock.  There is still a chance of getting mud on something, but less.  Easier to show than say.

Best idea,  HOLD IT!  :D
